To cleanse the present scenario of our world?
T oday, the entire world is in lockdown. No
matter if you are rich or poor, belonging to
upper or lower castes, atheist or religious,
cobbler or collector-the effect of the so
contagious-novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2),
would leave an identical aftermath on we,
humans; despite your life backgrounds. This
pandemic would badly hit the economy and
development of any country.

Few days ago, WHO answered to all the conspiracy
theories that were rife, as the title of a newspaper
reads, ‘As of coronavirus, the conspiracy theories
too are going viral.’. However, the world did face
many cruel challenges before the virus viz. -cultural
violence, civil wars, communal riots and even world
wars. Now what makes the difference is so far it
was humans as viruses haunting others but now it is
replaced by a submicroscopic virus, corona-a
nightmare to the whole world by causing 239k
deaths worldwide.
Despite all those curses on humanity, we have learnt
a lot more things during this period. Are we, humans

the superior creatures on Earth? Did we ever engage
in charity, to lift the poor from their depths of
sorrow to their peaks of happiness which they
deserve? Alas! The answer would probably be a
NO.The pandemic has taught us what we really are
and above all to adhere to our family in any deadly
situation.Professor,Yuval Noah Harari through his
well-crafted novel, ‘sapiens' admits the fact that:
Humans are likely to have the greatest brain ever on
Earth but why do we let 'our brain be a drain on
our body'?
And finally, one could say that we, the non-
benevolent masters of the world possessed a
peaceful atmosphere-wherever it could be-at school,
work and home. But now there is an imposed
punishment-one of the worst pandemics in history.
When we had completed almost a month in a four-
walled room, we feel it troublesome. When we feel
exhausted in our room, think about how it could be
to the vulnerable sections of society who spend their
lives alienated. When we are unable to get any
luxuries of life, think about how it could be to those
daily wage workers who can't find work during this
period. When we complain about our job, remember
there are millions unemployed and more than a
million unpaid. When we complain about our
school, remember 6 out of every 10 children do not
have access to primary education. Then why
complain? Let this virus be a hidden da Vinci
code with a reminder that it is the final chance to
humanity, and it is high time we think about it.
Let us uphold unity among all citizens of the world
for a better life on Earth, by creating the
environment of a 100 millennia ago in terms of
nature, culture, and above all human values. As the
British civil servant and historian Sir Alfred Lyall
described Hinduism as a 'tangled jungle' -full of
paradoxes, unfortunately, now one could say that the
entire human culture had turned itself into one. You
have your right to be wrong but make sure not to be
the weeds to someone else's fields likewise human
as a virus to the world community. Let the rivers
that got exhausted and polluted flow with great
pleasure, let the world itself get replenished, let not
peace, happiness and prosperity vanish from our
world instead be kept up high amidst the outbreak in
our families- smallest units of a society. Thus, let us
stand together for a better world to 'cleanse the
present scenario of our world.'
