1. Before reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I thought that


message is just a communication or statement that can be verbal or written
conveyed from one person or group to another.
However, reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I now think/ realize that
message in communication is defined as information conveyed by words in speech
or writing, and other signs and symbols. A message verbal or nonverbal, or both is
the content of the communication process.

2. Before reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I thought that


there is no difference between a message and a text.
However, reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I now think/ realize that
text is the content of a message formatted with alphabets or words of any language
good enough to share a piece of information, in your context. While message is a
verbal, written, or recorded communication sent to or left for a recipient who
cannot be contacted directly. It has a sender, receiver, matter, time and technical
details.

3. Before reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I thought that


there is no difference between the reader and the audience.
However, reading the material/ understanding the lesson, I now think/ realize that
A reader interprets written messages by reading aloud or by eyes. On the other
hand, audience receive message my listening to oral messages.
