PRACTICE-1 DEFINING CALENDERS

Create a new calendar with six workdays and give Monday holiday in the your calendar. Find whether the
changes are affected in the new calendar. Also change the shift time to 7 AM to 5PM. If changes are affected in
the new calendar, save the calendar.

Create a new calendar with five workdays and apply it to a task and find how the task in scheduled, while the
project calendar being 7 days workweek.

Create a new calendar with planning units in hours. Give 10hr/day as working time and 1 hr break in between. The
working time start from 8 AM ands at 7 PM.

Create a night calendar, in which the planning units are in weeks. The shift starting from 10 PM to7 AM having 1hr
break at 2AM to 3AM. Find whether it is possible to give the holidays in days.

Create a night calendar in which shift starting from 11 PM to8 AM having 1hr break at 2AM to 3 AM. Make 2nd
Saturday as holiday and 15th August and 30th August as holiday. The project starts from 14th July2007.

Create a new hourly based calendar with timings from 6AM to 5PM with 1 hr break in between and six workdays
per week. Give holidays for the following days 26th January, 1st May, 15th August, 2nd October, 14th November
and 25th December.

Create a calendar with two shifts. The major shift is from 7AM to 3PM break in between is 1hr from 11AM. Give the
start date of the project as 01 April,.2006. Add five activities and assign the different two calendars to any two
activities and find how the tasks work after assigning.

Create a calendar, having 24 hrs working with 5 activities. 2 activities are for working starting from 12AM to12AM.
Find whether it is possible to give the holidays.
