1. Given below a block diagram of a 4 × 1 MUX circuit, find its i/p 𝐼3𝐼2𝐼1𝐼0 for having an o/p
𝑌 = 𝑆0 𝑋𝑂𝑅 𝑆1;{ ⊕ 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑋𝑂𝑅 }. [2]

2. Given below a device having all four pins at D’s are “LOW”, both the address lines S0 & S1 are set to
be at “HIGH”, and the 𝐸𝑁 (enable) input be “LOW”. What will be the o/p status at Y? [2]

3. In a 2-bit counter circuit (as illustrated below), the present state QAQB is "10" at clock time tn. What
will be the next state of QAQB after three clock cycles, i.e., after tn + 3? [2]

4. Does a race around condition arise in a particular following circuit as demonstrated below? If so,
then under what i/p values of the pins A & B, and as well as the clock pulse (CLK) are to be set at
for this device to toggle? [2]

5. Describe with proper explanation: what kind of logic operation can be drawn from the circuit shown
below, where the i/p pins V1 & V2 are set at 0V (as digital “0” or “LOW”), and 5V (as digital “1” or
“HIGH”), respectively. Determine what kind of equivalent universal logic gate status can be
obtained from the o/p VOUT? [3]
6. Describe the mode of operations of the individual transistors (i.e., Q1, Q2, Q3 & Q4), when an i/p of
Vi = 2.5V is applied thru a single-emitter transistor based standard TTL logic gate, as depicted
below. What will be the resultant equivalent logic gate under such a condition of Vi = 2.5V? [4]

7. From the following truth table, deduce a reduced SOP Boolean expression and draw its neat logic
circuit diagram using the reduced expression. [5]
