Introduction

This interview is about what others think and feel about language. I will be asking
about what their opinions on the English language and this will be answered such that it
conveys their opinion on whether English is easy/ difficult, fun/ not fun, etc. I will also
ask about what hardships there are regarding the English language.

Findings:

1. What is your opinion about English (this was answered in Tagalog so this is the
translated version)?

- English is quite difficult because I am more inept in conversing using the Tagalog
Language. However, I occasionally use English because my work requires me to use it
at time like when I need to host some programs, make some speeches, and other. I am
not an English teacher so English is not my forte. I do use English though, because I am
a Math teacher and the Mathematics textbooks use English.

2. We often get English speaking students because I teach in private schools so it is

quite hard at times when the student can only understand English and I have to
translate everything I say to English just so that he/she can understand it. However,
when I’m talking to English-speaking students, their words are mostly common words
befitting kids of their age so it is manageable even if they speak English only.

Conclusion

From the interview it seems that English is a common language that teachers
use in their daily lives and that they are required to have some average skills in
speaking English. The interviewee found English to be quite difficult but not to the point
that it is impossible to use.
