13. Are all fire exits identified with illuminated 6 inch (15cm) letters or larger?

28. Are all dining rooms, lounges, function rooms, store rooms, equipment
rooms or any area which could possibly be used by an arsonist kept closed and
locked when not in use?

29. Are flammable liquids and solids stored in safety containers or cabinets?

30. Are grease, rubbish, oily rags or other combustible material accumulating
behind, above or beneath equipment or structures?

31. Are kitchen ventilating hoods, ducts, filters, and fans free from grease?

32. Are kitchen cook line exhaust hoods and filters cleaned periodically?

33. Are laundry exhaust ducts, filters, and fans free of lint accumulation?

34. Are all elevator pits free from rubbish and debris?

35. Are trash and linen chute doors in good condition, self-closing and self-
latching?

36. Are trash and linen chute terminus equipped with fire rated doors that self-
close and self-latch?

37. Is the collection and removal of all trash, particularly from guest floors or
