Aloe Vera is a medicinal plant, also known by its scientific name as Aloe Vera, which
has various health properties and is used in various beauty treatments, mainly at the hair
and skin level. This plant can be purchased in health food stores, handling pharmacies,
some municipal markets, and supermarkets. In addition to this, it can be easily grown at
home, since it does not need special care.
What is it for?
Aloe Vera provides powerful benefits for the skin and hair, due to the fact that it
contains mucilaginous substances and quercetin that work as an emollient and renew
damaged skin cells, it also has polysaccharides and plant hormones responsible for
stimulating and hydrating cells. Aloe vera is rich in vitamins and minerals such as vitamin
A, B, C and E, calcium, magnesium, potassium, selenium, zinc and mannose phosphate, the
latter acts on the growth of tissues providing a healing effect, as well as helps strengthen
the immune system. Another property of aloe is that it exerts a strong laxative effect, due to
the fact that it has compounds called anthraquinones that act at the level of the colon,
promoting the discharge of feces. However, this purgative effect is drastic and can irritate
the colon, so aloe vera capsules should only be used under the guidance of a doctor.
Besides being a great ally for hair and skin health, aloe vera can also be used to treat

Aloe Vera has enzymes that help remove dead cells from the scalp, and it is also

How to use: combine 2 egg whites with 2 to 3 tablespoons of the inner gel of the aloe
leaves, mix well and apply on the hair, ensuring that the roots are well covered. Wait 5
minutes and remove with cold water and shampoo.
2. Eliminate dandruff
