3D Object’s Isometric and Orthographic Projection

Theory:
Isometric Projection is a method for visually representing three-
dimensional objects in dimensions by technical and engineering
drawings. Orthographic projection common method of representing
three- dimensional objects usually by three two-dimensional drawings
in each of which the object is viewed along parallel lines that are
perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.

Instruments:
A3 Size Mountboard (Quantity 5), Fevicol, Scissors, 30cm scale,
Masking tape, A3 size Chart paper (Quantity 2), etc.

Assembly:
Arrange the Mountboard and take perfect measurement of 30cm
length, 25cm breadth and 18cm width. Use two A3 size drawing sheets
for preparation of isometric and orthographic projection of the 3D
object. As per assumption prepare the drawings with all measures
mentioned in mm.

Procedure:
Here the procedure comprises of the following methods:
1. Using scissors take proper cutting of mountboard as per desired
length mentioned.
2. Use fevicol and masking tape to attach the pieces as per figure also
take care of borders it might require some adjustment
3. After 10-15min check whether the arrangement is correct and the
use A3 size chart paper for covering the object to make its appearance
better.
4. Here we complete our object now begin with the isometric and
orthographic representation.
5. Use your drawing equipment’s and prepare the drawings in mm as
per assumption.
Output:
Engineering, architecture, and design, a 3D drawing does not show
enough detail—orthographic projections help overcome that
problem. An orthographic projection is a way of representing a 3D
object by using several 2D views of the object. Orthographic drawings
are also known as Multiview. Isometric drawing is a form of 3D
drawing, which is set out using 30-degree angles. It is a type of
axonometric drawing so the same scale is used for every axis, resulting
in a non-distorted image.
Result:
Upon completion of the course students should be able to: Sketch
two-dimensional orthographic drawings and three-dimensional
isometric views. Create and modify two-dimensional orthographic
drawings using AutoCAD software, complete with construction lines,
dimensions, and layers, conforming to industry standards.
