Heartbeat Vietnam is a program to support heart surgery costs for poor children under

18 years old in Vietnam. With the help of sponsors, one baby will be saved with only
28,000,000 VND. In remote areas of Vietnam, where there are still families earning only a
few tens of thousands of dong a day, taking care of children's health or going to the doctor is a
luxury that is beyond affordability. their. The VinaCapital Foundation strives to find a cure
for all chronic diseases in children, but the focus of the Foundation since its inception has
been on children with congenital heart disease.

1. Congenital heart disease surgery

Currently, about 10,000 children in Vietnam with congenital heart disease are waiting
for surgery. Accordingly, after the program to visit, learn about family circumstances,
confirm their health status, and receive dossiers of requests for funding for congenital
heart surgery of the children.

Over the years, the children have always received the help and financial support of
Viettel, VinaCapital Organization, Hanoi Heart Hospital, Hue, Can Tho,....

More than 163 billion VND has been donated from sponsors such as Gamuda Land
Vietnam Joint Stock Company, VinaCapital Group. Consulate General of Canada and
hundreds of sponsors are businesses, organizations, individuals and other event
sponsors…

Now, Heartbeat Vietnam has saved the lives of 7,804 children and this number will
continue to grow.

2. Post-surgery care program


The process of re-examination and care of children after surgery is very expensive.
Aware of this, VinaCapital Foundation has established a post-operative care program
for the children in the Heartbeat Vietnam program and their families.

This program covers the cost of childcare for one year after surgery. Post-surgery
support for one child is 300,000 VND, which will be used to pay for social insurance,
medicine and nutritional support and a part of the tuition fee for one child is also
300,000 VND.
3.Family allowance
For needy families, they always need special support during the child's prolonged
treatment period.

This program, intended to provide poor households with a one-time allowance to


cover the upkeep, travel and medical expenses related to their child's heart surgery.

Grants range from VND 1,050,000 to VND 6,300,000 and are awarded directly to
families on a case-by-case basis based on their financial situation.

Up to now, Heartbeat Vietnam has supported more than 400 families with 294
allowances for nutrition and medical transportation.
4.Vietnam Heartbeat Scholarship
The VinaCapital Foundation will select and award scholarships to children under
the Heartbeat Vietnam program who have excellent academic achievements despite
having to go through the pain of congenital heart disease.

They will have the opportunity to go to college, get a good job in the future, and
make their dreams come true.
