TITLE OF THE STUDY:

“A STUDY ON EFFECT OF MOTIVATING STRATEGIES ON EMPLOYEE


PERFORMANCE WITH REFERENCE TO RITTAL INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED”.

INTRODUCTION:

Human resources are very important for companies or organizations in managing, and
utilizing employees so they can function productively for the achievement of objectives.
Human resources are one of the potential factors of production, in fact. The factor of human
production not only works physically but also works thoughtfully. Optimization of human
resources has become a central point of organizational change in improving employee
performance. So it can be said that human resources are a very important source or key factor
to get good performance.

Performance is a combination of ability, effort, and opportunity that can be assessed from the
results of employees work. Performance refers to the level of achievement of the tasks that
make up an employee's work Performance appraisal is the process by which the organization
oversees individual implementation. In the performance appraisal the employee's contribution
to the organization is assessed during a certain period. Performance is a function of the
interaction between an individual motivation, ability and environment. Motivation is one of
the forces that lead to performance. Motivation is defined as the desire to achieve a goal or a
certain performance level, leading to goal directed behavior.

Motivation is formed from the attitude of employees in dealing with work situations in the
organization. Motivation is a condition or energy that drives employees directed to achieve
organizational goals. Positive employee mental attitude towards work situations is what
strengthens his work motivation to be able to achieve maximum performance. Sufficient
motivation will make an employee more enthusiasm for work which will ultimately create
employee performance that is increasing. Conversely low motivation leads to decreased
employee performance as a result difficult organizational goals are achieved.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:

Success does not depend primarily on the size of the budget or the products supporting
technologies. It really depends on employee’s attitudes, competencies and skills, their ability
to generate commitment and trust, communicate aspirations and work in complex
relationships. The management of human capital has encountered the following:

Low level of participative management, inequitable reward system, lack of recognition of


good work, lack of communication in terms of career development as a result leads to de-
motivation hence affect organization performance.

OBJECTIVES:

 To study the purpose of motivation is to create condition in which people are willing
to work with zeal, initiative, interest and enthusiasm with a high personal and group
moral satisfaction with a sense of responsibility.
 To study the motivation techniques utilized to stimulate employee growth.
 To analyze the performance results from the interaction of physical, financial and
human resource.
 To analyze the motivation has significant affect on employee job performance.
 To analyze high levels of motivation will increase persistence, enhance cognitive
processes and lead to improved performance.
 To satisfy the economic, social and psychological needs of the employees

NEED OF THE STUDY:

Employee motivation is key to an organizations success. It’s the level of commitment, drive
and energy that a company’s workers bring to the role every day. Without it, companies
experience reduced productivity, lower levels of output and it’s likely that the company will
fall short of reaching important goals too.
Effectively motivating employees has long been one of managements most important and
challenging duties. Motivation refers to the psychological processes that stimulate excitement
and persistence of voluntary actions aimed at some goal. Because motivation can be highly
individualized, managers use a wide range of techniques to keep their employees motivated
and happy. Therefore, it is essential for managers to understand the psychological processes
involved in motivation so that they can effectively direct employees towards organizational
goals.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

RESEARCH METHOD:

The data collection is one of the important aspects in the research design purely because, it is
the way that how we can get answer to research question, and it is descriptive method.

COLLECTION OF DATA:

PRIMARY DATA:

Primary data is used to clarify certain aspects in secondary data, through discussing with the
company officials.

SECONDARY DATA:

Secondary data will be collected through both print and electric media. The print media
includes text books, articles, journals, magazines. The electric media includes web portals,
data bases.

SAMPLING:

Sampling is a process of statistical analysis in which predetermined number of observation


are taken from large population and analysis with the simple random sampling and graphical
method.

SAMPLING TECHNIQUE:

Simple random sampling method is adopted in order to collect the opinions of respondents.
SAMPLE SIZE:

Sample of present study 75 respondents of various departments of Rittal India Private


Limited

TOOLS FOR DATA ANALYSIS:

The collected data will be analysed with the help of tables by using trend percentage and it
will be presented through charts/graph.

LIMITATIONS:

 The Study is confined to only one company.


 The study has limited time constraint.
 The study is based on the responded data.
 More focus on primary data and less on secondary data.

OVERVIEW OF THE CHAPTER SCHEME:

CHAPTER-1: INTRODUCTION

This chapter gives information about introduction to study topic, theoretical background of
the study.

CHAPTER-2: RESEARCH DESIGN

This chapter gives details about the title of the study, statement of problem, objectives of the
study, scope of the study, limitation of the study, tools and techniques, methodology and
overview of the chapter scheme.

CHAPTER-3: COMPANY PROFILE

Introduction to company, History of the company, growth and development of the


organization, nature of business, vision and mission, milestones, SWOT analysis, future
growth and prospects.
CHAPTER-4: DATA ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION

The chapter consists of the compliances study. It consists the questionnaires method of the
analysis of survey method, sample distribution method, analysis and interpretation data
collection with graphical and using different statistical tool.

CHAPTER-5: FINDINGS, SUGGESTION AND CONCLUSION

This chapter summarized the findings, conclusion and offer suggestion
