In your own words, answer the following questions briefly and concisely.

1. What is What is the most distinctive difference between Objective test and
subjective test?
 Objective Test
Objective test is a test to measure learners ability or performance using specific
set of answer, which inside there are two possible answer, right and wrong. The
score is according to right answers. This type test includes multiple choice tests, true
or false test, matching and problem based questions.
 Subjective Test
Subjective test is a test to judge the learners ability or performance by examiners’
opinion and judgement. This type of test is using essay and short answer.

2. What the advantage and disadvantage of the True and False test items?
The advantage of the true and false items is many items can be done in a short time
and, it is quite easy to write and easily scored as well.

The disadvantage of the true and false items is we cannot truly determine the test
takers’ knowledge because it is awfully easy to guess correctly on many items, even if
material has not been mastered by test taker.

3. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the Subjective Test?


 The strengths of Subjective Test:
a. It Can be used to measure higher order cognitive skills.

b. It is difficult for respondent to get correct answer by guessing


c. It’s easy to construct the question items
d. It gives the chance for the students to demonstrate their abilities to
develop their own answer or argument
e. It gives the chance to the students to purpose their purpose in their own
language
f. It can be used for high thinking process
g. The teacher knows how the student’s understanding about the lesson
h. It Needs fewer question items
i. Many can be administered in a brief amount of time.
j. It is quite efficient to score.
 The Weaknesses of Subjective Test:
a. Time consuming to administer and score.

b. Difficult to identify reliable criteria for scoring


c. It depends on performance
d. Spend a lot of time to evaluate the result.
e. Difficult to identify defensible criteria for correct answers.
f. Limited to questions that can be answered or completed in a few words.

g. Only a limited range of content can be sampled during any one testing
