To deliver a good news report, a reporter needs to be confident and

authoritative when they speak. Words are enunciated carefully for the listeners to
understand and show interest in the news. Most of all, the news is delivered
precisely, the first requirement for a good news story. You've got to get all the
details correct.
The facts and names must be correct and accurate so that there is no room for
mistakes. Errors in reporting diminish the integrity of the press. Make sure that the
facts are accurate and sufficiently complete. The details must answer to 5Ws (and
H): who, when, where, where, why, and how. Used active voice to write a news
story. The active voice is more readily grasped and has more effect. Create simple,
concise statements with action verbs. The language used must be straightforward,
without words that do not help concentrate the narrative and highlight the most
significant or fascinating aspect of the story, beginning with secondary details.
