1.1 Assembling of nozzle
Technical requirements:
Tighten the hollow bolt of nozzle with a torque of 20-30N.m;
Tools: Curved wrench, extension rod, 19 # socket wrench, towel and oil pot.

Inspection before assembling:


1)Check if the oil gallery and nozzle are unobstructed.
2)Check if the nozzle (with the mating face of cylinder block)has bumps or burrs.
3)Check if solder joint of nozzle is cracking.

Inspection after assembling


Check if the assembling is correctly done.

1.2 Assembling of camshaft

Technical requirements:
Tighten (strength is 10.9) the fastening bolt of camshaft thrust plate with a torque of 29-
35N.m.
Check if the rotation of camshaft is blocked. Feel its axial clearance manually. The axial
is 0.1-0.4mm.
Tools: Curved wrench, extension rod, 13 # socket wrench, towel, oil pot and 242 glue.

Inspection before assembling:


1)Check if the camshaft bushing has bumps;
2)Check if the camshaft has bumps.

Inspection after assembling:


Check if the rotation of camshaft is flexible and non-blocking. Feel its axial clearance
manually. The axial is 0.1-0.4mm.

1.3 Assembling of cylinder liner
Technical requirements:
Smear MoS2 powder evenly on the outer wall of the cylinder liner;
The cylinder liner should be higher than the upper surface of the cylinder block by
0.05~ 0.10mm.

Inspection before assembling:


Check if the cylinder liner and cylinder-hole have bumps.

Inspection after assembling


Check if the cylinder liner is installed in place. The protrusion allowance is
0.05~0.10mm.

2、Assembling of crankshaft and crankcase
Technical requirements:
1)Tighten main bearing bolts (M18,14 in total) cross-
symmetrically according to the order shown below.
Pre-tighten with 80N·m for the first time and
265~290N·m for the second time.

2) Tighten intermediate hexagon socket head cap screw (M8×25,22 in total). First tighten the
middle part and then both sides. The tightening torque is 22-29N·m;
3)Loosen and then tighten the intermediate hexagon head bolt (M8×110,5 in total). First tighten the
middle part and then both sides. The tightening torque is 22-29N·m;
4)The bolt with thread hole in the head should be installed in the sixth main bearing.
Tools:510 surface glue, lithium grease, towel, oil pot, 22 # socket and torque wrench

Inspection before assembling:


1)Check if the upper and lower bearing bushes, crankcase and thrust washers have bumps;
2)Check if the processing hole on the crank is blocked;
3)Check if the rear oil seal and internal spring are intact.

Inspection after assembling:


Check if the rotation of crankshaft is flexible and non-blocking. Feel the crankshaft radial and axial
clearance manually. The axial clearance is 0.102-0.305mm.

3. Pre-assembling and final assembling
of piston
Technical requirements:
1)Technical requirements of pre-assembling:
①The oil ring opening and internal spring opening of the oil ring can not overlap. When assembling the oil
ring, the surface marked ”Top” on the two air rings (Trapezoidal ring is on the upper side, tapered ring is on
the lower side) should be upward;
②The angle between the first air ring and the piston pin hole is 30°, the angel among three gas rings is
120°;
③ Connecting rod big end opposites to the piston gap, the angel between piston retainer ring and vertical
direction of piston should be 45°.
2)Technical requirements of final assembling:
① Matching number of connecting rod body of connecting rod big end and connecting rod cover should be
consistent;
②Connecting rod bolt (M14×1.5,only be used once), the first tightening torque is 120N·m,the second
turn angle is 90±5°,the last torque should be within the scope of 170~250N·m;
③ Piston assembling order is 4-3-6-1-2-5
Tools: Torque wrench, short extension rod, 19 # socket wrench, towel, oil pot, pliers, ​simple self-made
tooling and piston hook
Inspection before assembling:
1)Check if the gas ring, oil ring, piston head and cylinder liner are intact;
2)Check if the connecting rod and piston are in the same weight group respectively.
Inspection after assembling: Shake the connecting rod cover up and down to
check axial clearance of connecting rod cover.

4、Assembling of the flywheel and
flywheel housing
Technical requirements:
1)Technical requirements of assembling flywheel housing:
①There are 13 flywheel housing bolts in total, seven long bolts and six short bolts. As shown in right figure,
4,5,6,7,8,9 M12×60 bolts, and 1,2,3,10,11,,12,13 M12×70 bolts, use 19#socket wrench and 510flat glue。
②The tightening order of flywheel housing bolts is shown as the number in right figure, tightening torque is
110~140N·m,this bolts can be reused twice;
2)Technical requirements of assembling flywheel:
Tighten the flywheel bolts diagonally, the first tightening torque is 60+20N·m,and then turn
90°±5°respectively,the torques reach 230~280N·m at same time.
Specification of flywheel bolt: M14×1.5(9 in total),can be repeated twice.
Tools: Torque wrench, marker pen, towel, oil pot, 22#socket wrench

Inspection before assembling:


1)Check if the contact surface of flywheel housing
and engine block is flat;
2)Check if the gear ring is intact

Inspection after assembling:


Check if each bolt has been tightened.

5、Assembly of lubricating oil pump
Technical requirements:
The tightening torque of two bolts(one is M10×55 ,one is M10×30)is 44~58N·m。
Tools: Torque wrench, copper hammer, towel, oil pot, 16# socket wrench and 242 glue.

Inspection before assembling:


1)Check the mating face of lubricating oil pump and engine block and mating face of gear
chamber and engine block;
2)Check the welding place of oil suction strainer to ensure it is intact;
3)Check the sealing gasket between oil suction strainer and lubricating oil pump to ensure it is
intact ;
4)Check the pressure-limiting valve in lubricating oil valve to ensure it operating normally ;
5)Check the gear in lubricating oil pump to ensure it is intact;
6)Check gear axial clearance of lubricating oil pump, and check if the rotation is blocking and
has inhale phenomenon

Inspection after assembling:


Check if the installation of lubricating oil pump gasket is in place
5、机油泵的装配 5. Assembling of

取少量锂基脂将机油泵垫片粘在机 六角头螺栓螺纹部位涂242胶,松 装机油泵总成,用定位销将机油


油泵出油口上 装在机油泵上 泵固定在机体上,并拧紧螺栓

6、Assembling of gear chamber
Technical requirements:
1)Smear 510 flat glue on mating face of gear chamber and engine block.
2)As shown in right figure, the timing gear chamber has 9 M10 bolts; as 6,7 and 8 are shorter, smear 242
thread fastening glue when assembling;
3)Intermediate gear bolts (4 M10 bolts), tighten symmetrically to 60N·m and then turn 90°, finally reach
100~125N·m.
4)The timing gear is M8*20,strength is10.9 grade,tighten symmetrically and
torque is 32-36N.m,and smear 242glue.
5)Turn crankshaft to top dead center of No.1 and No.6 cylinder when
assembling,and align OT line to install.
Tools:Torque wrench,13#、15#、16# socket, flat glue and copper hammer

Inspection before assembling:


1)Check if the intermediate gear has crack or broken gear
2)Check if the intermediate gear of lubricating oil pump has sundries
or bumps, and rotating fixable

Inspection after assembling:


Check the backlash of the circular tooth after assembling timing gear
and intermediate gear, among which, the backlash between timing gear
and intermediate gear is 0.015-0.33mm.
6、齿轮室的装配 6. Assembling of gear chamber

在机体平面上涂上510密封胶 将中间齿轮组装入齿轮室

7、Assembling of cylinder head and valve
mechanism
1.Pre-assembling of cylinder head
Technical requirements:
① Smear MoS2 grease on intake and exhaust valves;
② Clearance between exhaust valve stem and valve guide is 0.025-0.053, clearance between
intake valve stem and valve guide is 0.02-0.048;
③ The plane valve of valve bottom recessed cylinder head exhaust/intake 1.08-1.48/0.85-1.05;
④ Notice that rotating direction of inner valve spring and outer valve spring should be opposite.
Tools:22mm fork wrench, special tools for disassembling and assembling cylinder head.

Inspection before assembling


①Check if the intake and exhaust valve holes have scratch; and check if intake and
exhaust valves are installed correctly;
②Check if the valve seat is missed to install, and check if the intake and exhaust valves
are installed oppositely;
③Check the rotating direction of inner and outer valve springs;
④The intake and exhaust valves should slide smoothly and no-blocking in valve guide;
⑤Check if rotating flexible before installing rotating mechanism of valve spring.
Inspection after assembling
①Check if the intake and exhaust valves have sundries;
②Check if each clearance complies with requirements;
③Check if two coil springs are assembled correctly.

The clearance between tappet and tappet hole should be 0.025~
0.089

Inspection before assembling


Must blow clean by air compressor before assembling, and then
check if oil hole is unobstructed.

Inspection after assembling


Check if the valve tappet is oblique after assembling the valve tappet.

3.Assembling of cylinder head
Technical requirements
①The cylinder head gasket should only be used once and must be replaced in case of
repair.
②Tightening order of main bolts: The first tightening torque is 29+20Nm,the second is
198 Nm,and turn 90°clockwise in the third time, the torque should be in the range of
240-340Nm;
③Tightening order of assistant bolts: : The first tightening torque is 29+20Nm,the second
is 98 Nm,and turn 90°clockwise in the third time, the torque should be in the range of
120-160Nm;
Tools: Torque wrench, 17#, 22# socket, copper hammer and extension rod
Inspection before assembling
①Check if the inside of cylinder has sundries before assembling, wipe inner cylinder wall and
top of piston clean, and spray appropriate cleaning lubricating oil on inner cylinder wall;
②Check if components assembled correctly, include to check if valve sealing sleeve and valve
collets are on seat
③Need to knock the components of cylinder head to remove sundries by nylon rod on
workbench before assembling, and then wipe clean the bottom of cylinder head components
Inspection after assembling:
Check if the main and assistant bolts of cylinder head reach the required torque

① The clearance between rocket arm and rocket arm shaft is 0.012~0.066mm;
② Tightening torque of rocket arm seat is 98+10N·m;
③ Tightening torque of hexagon head bolt in cylinder head cover is (22~29)N·m
④ Adjustment of valve clearance: Turn the flywheel to make the No.1 cylinder in outbreak
position according to rotating directing of crankshaft, adjust intake valves of No.1, No.2
and No.4 cylinder and exhaust valves of No.1, No.3 and No.5 cylinder successively.
WD615.WD10Intake valve clearance is 0.30±0.03mm. Exhaust valve clearance is
0.40±0.03mm.WD12Intake valve clearance is 0.35mm. Exhaust valve clearance is
0.40mm. EVB valve clearance is 0.25±0.03mm. Adjust nut torque:(30~45)N·m,
turn crankshaft 360°according to rotating direction of crankshaft, and adjust the
remaining rocket arm clearance;

Inspection before assembling:


① Blow valve push rod clean by air compressor before assembling valve push rod;
② Check if oil gallery hole is unobstructed, and smear oil on contact end of push rod and
tappet;
③ Must check if copper washer and rubber ring are broken before assembling fuel injector.
Inspection after assembling: Check valve clearance

9、Assembling of fuel pump
Technical requirements:
The scribed line on the pump flange to the pump gear alignment. The fuel supply advanced angle scale
according to technical requirements in flywheel should align with “OT” scale line in flywheel housing
before in top dead center of No.1 cylinder, install the oil pump on gear chamber, and tighten
fastening bolt (44-58Nm)

Inspection before assembling:


Check if the oil pump flange rubber ring is intact

Inspection after assembling:


Check if the scale line of oil pump gear aligns with scale line of gear chamber observation hole after
assembling oil pump, and re-assemble if not.

10、Adjustment of fuel supply advanced
angle
Method of adjusting fuel supply advanced angle:

1、Remove cylinder head cover of No.1 cylinder. Check if the piston of No.1 cylinder is near top
dead center by rotating the push rod and turn the crankshaft if not.
2、Turn crankshaft counterclockwise (check from flywheel end) by special tool to make the fuel
supply advanced angle scale according to technical requirements in flywheel should align
with “OT” scale line in flywheel housing. (Note: Allow to turn flywheel clockwise first to make
the “OT” scale line in flywheel housing reaches more than two times of scale line of fuel
supply advanced angle, and then turn crankshaft counterclockwise.)
3、Flange mechanical pump models: Loosen the fastening bolt of high pressure oil pump and
flange; Coupling models: Loosen the bolts of angle adjusting plate.
4、Seal the oil-return port of fuel injection pump; remove hollow bolt in oil-inlet port of fuel
injection pump, connect oil-inlet port with special fuel supply pipe, and tighten connector; use
special oil-return pipe to connect oil-inlet port of fuel injection pump No.1 cylinder, and
tighten connecting bolt. The special oil return pipe consist of oil-resistant transparent rubber
hose and connecting elbow, among which, the total length of connecting elbow is less than
150mm.
10、Adjustment of fuel supply advanced
angle
5、Start fuel supply advanced angle adjustment device, turn flange mechanical fuel
injection pump clockwise(seen from free end) or turn coupling mechanical fuel
injection pump flange counterclockwise (see from free end), make the diesel oil flow
out from oil outlet port of oil pump linearly. The fuel injection pump with delivery
valve, fuel supply pressure of fuel supply advanced angle adjustment device is
2MPa approximately; fuel injection pump without delivery valve, fuel supply pressure
of fuel supply advanced angle adjustment device is 0.5MPa approximately
6、Turn pump body of flange-structured fuel injection pump counterclockwise (seen
from free end) or turn coupling-structured fuel injection pump flange clockwise (seen
from free end) to make the high pressure oil from linear change to drop, use
stopwatch to detect after dropping 10s continuously. Visual drip count, 1 drop / sec
in average, the flow rate unchanged and last 10s.
7、Flange-structured fuel injection pump: Tighten fastening bolt between flange fuel
injection pump bracket and fuel injection pump seat first according to technical
requirements, and then tighten fastening bolt between fuel injection pump and
flange; Coupling-structured fuel injection pump: Tighten fastening bolt of angle
adjusting plate according to technical requirement, and smear sealant on fastening
bolt. The operator should check visually if the high pressure diesel oil is 1 drop/sec
after tightening bolts.

12、Assembling of water outlet pipe,

Technical requirements: Inspection before assembling:
Smear MoS2 on the sealing ring of exhaust Check if the gasket is intact; check the
pipe. The tightening torque is 49~68.6Nm. sealing ring of exhaust pipe.
Bolts not in this range should be replaced Inspection after assembling:
Tools: Steering handle ,13mm and16mm Check if the bolts are tightened.

13、Assembling of oil pan
Technical requirements:The sealing gasket should be smooth and not distorted. Cross-
symmetrically tighten the oil pan bolts and the torque is 22-29N·m;
Tools:13mm socket and 32 open-end wrench

Inspection before assembling: Check if the suction strainer and oil pan are interferential.
Inspection after assembling: Check if magnetic screw plug is tightened.
14、Assembling of water pump
Technical requirements: Inspection before assembling:
1、Clean the water pump and gear chamber surface Check if water pump impeller is rotating flexibly.

2. Connect water inlet pipe and water return pipe of air
compressor respectively.

16、Assembling of shock absorber and

60+10N·m;
