LESSON PLAN IN GRADE 9

Subject Area: Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing Date: March 17, 2022
Year &Section: Grade IX- Confucius (1) Time: 10:00 – 12:00 AM

I. GENERAL COMPETENCY: Lesson Study on the Development of critical thinking in Terminating

and Connecting Electrical Wiring and Electronic Circuit by Grade 9 Quezonian
Specific Competency: Electronic Circuit Connections
A. Reference/s:
1. Competency Based Learning Module (CBLM) in EPAS 9; pages 38 – 48, TESDA
Training Regulation Electronics Product Assembly and Servicing NC II; pages 25 –
28.
2. EPAS-9_Q3_Mod6_USLeM-RTP
3. Instructional Materials, Tools and Equipment:
1. Google Classroom, G-Suite Account, Learning Modules
2. Laptop, Cellphone, Web Cam, and Jamboard app.
II. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the discussion 100% total number of the students with 85 %
proficiency should be able to:
1. identify the connections in series and parallel circuit,
2. perform the connection of parallel circuit in jamboard application; and
3. value the importance of circuit analysis.

III. IMPLEMENTING STRATEGIES:

A. Preparation
1. Routinary Activities:
1.1 Opening Prayer
1.2 Greetings
1.3 Checking of Attendance
2. Review of the past lesson – Drill: Identification of electronic symbols

B. Presentation
1. Motivation – 4 pics 1 word (Electronic Circuit Connections)
2. Unlocking Difficulties:
2.1 Polarity - There are two types of poles: positive and negative. Electrical
polarity (positive and negative) in the direction of current flow in an electrical
circuit.
2.2 Termination - The point where a line, channel, or circuit ends
2.3 Schematic diagram - A schematic diagram is a fundamental two-
dimensional circuit representation showing the functionality and connectivity
between different electrical components.

3. Lesson Proper

Schematic Diagram Vs Pictorial Diagram

Schematic Diagram- This diagram represents the connection of the

components in the circuit using electronic symbols with reference designation to
distinguish it from other similar symbols. Components in this diagram does not
represent their physical size, shape, and chassis location within the circuit

Pictorial Diagram- This diagram represents the image of the actual

components and wiring connections in the circuit. It also represents the exact
shape of the component in proportion to the actual component but not its exact
size of it.

TYPES OF CIRCUIT

SERIES CIRCUIT- has only one loop through which current can flow. If
the circuit is interrupted at any point in the loop, no current can flow through the
circuit and no devices in the circuit will work.

PARALLEL CIRCUIT- has two (or more) loops through which current can
flow. If the circuit is interrupted in one of the loops, the current can still flow through
the other loop(s).

ANALYZE SERIES AND PARALLEL

C. Application
Activity: The students will go to jamboard by group and follow the instructions
given by the teacher.
(The teacher will observe the students during the activity using jamboard)

D. Generalization
The teacher will call one or more students to generalize the topic.

IV. EVALUATION:
Cognitive Domain – 20%
Formative Test – Directions: Read the question carefully, choose the letter of the correct answer.
