PICK YOUR PRODUCT

Step One: Pick Your Product.

Write the product, service or program you will be writing on below.

TIPS: Choose a product that is new, novel or exciting — something you can
really sink your teeth into and write a full sales page on. Ideally not
something too simple like a backpack (unless it has some unique features or
qualities you're excited to write about).

Also, choose a product that feels in alignment. It should be something you

would enjoy writing about and can relate to the customer avatar.

Example:
Muse S Headset (Meditation Headset)
The Copy Posse Launch Pad (8-Week Copywriter Coaching Program)

Through social media or an email list. Your customer avatar is already

familiar with your brand and is subscribed to your brand's newsletter
and/or follow your social media accounts.

Question #3: WHAT does the product do? (List the core problem it solves
and related benefit).

Example:
Muse S Headset
Problem: Unable to sleep due to stress
Benefit: Peace of mind, better sleep, and calmness

Copy Posse Launch Pad

Benefit: Having a portfolio to get your first client

Question #4: HOW does it deliver results? (Solution, mechanism or approach

that bridges the gap between the problem and benefit in Q3.)

Example:
Muse S Headset: A daily guided meditation practice.
Copy Posse Launch Pad: Live in-depth expert coaching and mentorship.

Question #5: WHY would someone purchase the product from you over
someone else? (What makes It unique, different, better?)

Example:
Muse S Headset: Meditation headset that gives you personalized
biofeedback so you can meditate more easily and powerfully.

Copy Posse Launch Pad: Step-by-step coaching specifically designed to

help you write a complete portfolio, so you can get clients rather than just a
formal training.

WRITE YOUR
USP STATEMENT

Step Three: Write your USP Statement

Awesome! Now put together your USP statement, loosely following this
formula: [product] helps [audience] with [problem] achieve [benefit] through
[unique solution].

Example:
The Muse S Headset helps stressed-out professionals with trouble sleeping
achieve blissful sleep and peace of mind through a revolutionized,
scientifically proven meditation headband that provides biofeedback.

The Copy Posse Launch Pad helps brand new copywriters with no
portfolio/experience/idea where to start achieve highly-paid copywriting
skills and build their portfolio from scratch through immersive live coaching
and community accountability.
