Students
Pre-lesson:
1. Pupils are called at random to pronounce the sound
or, er and ar that is displayed in the PowerPoint. N/A Analyze
2. Pupils who volunteer to pronounce the sound or, er
and ar are also given the opportunity. The teacher also
praised the student's bravery and explain the moral
value of bravery to the pupils.
3. Pupils listen to the teacher's pronunciation of the
sound or, er and ar. Pupils listen, point and repeat the
pronunciation of the sound or, er and ar.
4. Pupils are given a description of the pronunciation of
the sound or, er and ar and the teacher associates this Level of Local
topic with today’s teaching. Assessment & Evaluation

Lesson delivery:
Activity 1:
1. Pupils refer to the PowerPoint slide and Track 30 is
played. https://youtu.be/G2q1SZC-Igg
2. Pupils listen to Track 30 and point to the
pronunciation of the phonic boring, orca, jar, far,
brother and jumper first time.
3. Pupils listen to Track 30 for the second time and
point and repeat the pronunciation of the phonic boring, Writing Activities , Question &
orca, jar, far, brother and jumper. TP3
Answer / Questionnaire
4. Each pupil is given a worksheet containing a digraph
or, ar, er and the pupil is required to categorise a word
that has the same sound as the group of diagraphs. The
teacher will mark the student's worksheet on the spot.
Activity 2:
1. Pupils listen and point to the song entitled Our Farm
played by the teacher on youtube for the first
time. https://youtu.be/G2q1SZC-Igg
2. Pupils listen to chant Our Farm follow along in their PdP Pedagogy / Strategy i-Think
textbooks on page 127. The teacher will play the chant
again and pause after each line for pupils to repeat it.
3. Pupils are divided into three groups. Each group was
distributed with mahjong paper and marker pens.  
4. Each group was given a different digraph.
example: group A (or), group B (ar) and group C (er)
5. Pupils are required to find phonic words or, er, ar
from the song 'Our Farm' and categorise them
according to the digraphs given in the Bubble Map. Technology Based Bubble Map
6. Pupils will present their work in front of the class. The
teacher will correct the student's answer if it is wrong
and give praise to the group whose answers are all
correct.
Activity 3:
1. Pupils will sit individually. The teacher will explain the
third activity to the pupils.
2. Pupils are given two minutes to think of words other
than those in the textbook that contains the sound ar. Moral Value Teaching Aids
The teacher will draw a circle map containing digraph ar
on the smart board.
3. Pupils will voluntarily come forward and write the
word that has the sound ar in the circle map on the
smart board.
4. The teacher will check the pupil's answer and if it is
correct the pupil will read the words written on the
smart board and followed by the other pupils.
5. The above steps will be repeated to digraph or and ar Activity book , Textbook ,
and opportunities will be given to 4 pupils for each Worksheet , Internet ,
bravery
digraph. Power Point Slideshow ,
Projector , iTHiNK Map(s)
Post-lesson:
1. Pupils will review today's learning with the teacher.
2. Pupils will do activities in the workbook on page 108.

Reflection Approved By
Today's lesson was completed. 33 pupils were able to listen and categorise at least 4
words correctly and were given reinforcement activities in the workbook on pages 108
and 109. 2 pupils were guided by the teacher and given enrichment activities in the
workbook on page 108.
