MANZI NORMAN, RWANDA
During the 1994 Rwandan
genocide, thousands of girls and
women were sexually abused and
gang raped. A high percentage of
survivors got infected with HIV.
Many of them are stigmatized and
marginalized. Manzi, a genocide
survivor started Dream Village
where HIV positive young adults
are empowered to contribute to a
change and participate in the

WHO CAN APPLY?
Have you overcome adversity that drives you to make a
difference in your community? Then the only further
requirements are to be 22+ years old (No upper age
limit) and have intermediate English- and basic
computer skills.
SADHANA NAYAK, INDIA
Sadhana from Orissa, India has
experienced physical and mental
violence. Together with her son,
she escaped from her husband.
She now advocates for a society
that stands for zero tolerance on
domestic violence by providing
family counselling and
connecting victims with existing
governmental welfare schemes.
