Its capital is Oaxaca.

Oaxaca is located to the Southeast of the Mexican Republic.

It borders:

• To the North with Veracruz and Puebla

• To the South with the Pacific Ocean

• To the East with Guerrero and

• To the West with Chiapas.

4.- FUNDATION

The state of Oaxaca was founded in 1486.

5.- CURRENT GOVERNOR

The current governor is Alejandro Ismael Murat Hinojosa. He is a Mexican lawyer and politician.
