This commemorative cutout celebrates twenty years of hard-fought struggle on the contested
battleground of free time. Each evening and weekend on this field of battle, the Allied
Forces of handicrafts, industrial arts and all other active hobbies are arrayed against the
powerful passive Axis of scrolling computer screens and mind-numbing television.
In active ser vice of the Handicrafts Division, the International Paper Modelers Convention
proclaims a twenty-year beachhead in this generations-long struggle, a position held
valiantly against the apathetic and lethargic assaults of the time-wasting enemy.
The International Paper Modelers Convention would like to salute all those brave men and
women around the world who selflessly sacrifice their free time to this glorious cause, or
hobby, of paper model making. You are invited to join us in tanks for all your efforts this
November 4, 2017 in Sterling, Virginia, to laud and honor the humble paper productions
of twenty years of productive time well-spent.
