Men’s Clothing Lines

I. INTRODUCTION

Best Look intends to lever up its position as an established retail men’s

clothing business now to become a producer of an upscale clothing line targeted

at males between the ages of 20 and 40. Best Look not only develops the

clothing line, but supports it with advertising and promotion campaigns. The store

plans to strengthen its partnership with customer by developing brand

awareness. Best Look intends to market its line as an alternative to existing

clothing lines, and differentiate itself by marketing strategies, exclusiveness, and

high brand awareness.

Best Look line is classy, upscale, versatile, and expensive clothing. The

store's promotional plan is diverse and includes a range of marketing

communications. In the future, the Business hopes to develop lines of

accessories for men, women, and children. These accessories will include

cologne/perfume, jewelry, eyewear, watches, etc. Bestr Look not only develops

the clothing line, but supports it with advertising and promotion campaigns. The

business plans to strengthen its partnership with customer by developing brand

awareness.

Mission

Best Look offers high quality fashionable clothing for young adults and

builds a strong emotional relationship with the customer by offering premium

price on innovative and new trends clothing as compare to others

V. Personnel Policy

 All new employees need to undergo diversity training.

 Employees need to work for half a year becoming eligible for vacation

time.

 The manager should give the staff a rubric that assists them and know

how the head grades their performance.


VI. Dress Code Policy

Outline of Proper Clothing: All employees work attire must fall within the following

work attire guidelines

Men – Slacks or Black pants and Color Blue Polo-shirt

Women – Black short skirt or pants and Blue Sleeves as long as cover the

shoulder

VII. ATTENDANCE POLICY

 Employees are expected to be present for work on time every day.

Regular attendance are important to keep the store operating

 If an employee is absent for 3 or more consecutive days it will be

deducted to his/ her salary.

 If an employee is no call, no show and now evidence for excusing for 5 or

more days it will be considered a job abandonment or termination without

notice.

VIII. HOURS OF OPERATION / WORK SCHEDULE

The hours of works of the staff has to render must be 8 hours a day with

additional 1 hour break and 1 day break every 6 consecutive days.

IX. SUBSTANCE ABUSE

 The presence of any detectable amount of any illegal drug, illegal

controlled substance or alcohol in an employee's body system, while

performing company business or while in a company facility, is prohibited.

 Best Look will also not allow employees to perform their duties while

taking prescribed drugs that are adversely affecting their ability to safely

and effectively perform their job duties. Employees taking a prescribed


medication must carry it in a container labeled by a licensed pharmacist or

be prepared to produce the container if asked.

 Any illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia will be turned over to an

appropriate law enforcement agency and may result in criminal

prosecution.

X. LEAVE OF ABSENCE

 Employees are given a five minute grace period at the start and end of

each scheduled shift and for breaks and for lunch.

 Employees must report each day they are absent.

 Failure to call-off one hour prior to a shift will result in a no call-no show.

 Excused, unpaid absences can be granted for funerals, jury duty,

bereavement, childbirth, a car accident, medical appointment, and

unavoidable emergencies.

 In these cases, employees must provide documentation to prove a reason

for the absence.

XI. OVERTIME

Work may be performed beyond eight hours a day provided that the employee is

paid for the overtime work, which consists of an additional compensation equivalent

to his regular wage plus at least 25% thereof.


Work performed beyond eight hours on a holiday or rest day shall be paid an

additional compensation equivalent to the rate of the first eight hours plus at least

30% thereof.

Under the provisions of Article 82 of the Labor Code of the Philippines, working

hours apply to employees in all establishments and undertakings whether for profit

or not.

XII. VACATION

 Paid vacation time is accrued during periods of active employment and

may not be used before it is earned.

 Paid vacation time does not accrue during an employee’s personal leave

of absence, unpaid time off, or periods of administrative leave.

 Employees needing to take time off prior to earning paid vacation time

may submit a request for non-paid time off.

 Once earned, vacation days shall be paid as used, at employee’s then-

current rate of pay and based on employee’s regular work schedule.

XIII. TERMINITION

Violations lead to immediate dismissal of grounds for such terminations include the

following:

 Discrimination or harassment at the workplace


 Unlawful or immoral conduct on the job

 Willful neglect of duty or responsibilities

 Willful damage to company property or assets

 Continuous disregard of company policy

XVI. CUSTOMER’S POLICY

 Provide professional service and appropriate presentation at all times.

 No matter how difficult a customer, maybe they should always be treated

courteously and with as much patience as is necessary.

 Give Employees Guidelines For Problem Solving.

 Letting the customer speak, taking relevant notes, and repeating what you

understand to be the issue.

 Admit the company made a mistake rather than blame it on customer

error.

XVII. OPERATIONAL POLICY

 No employee is to commence work, or return to work while under the

influence of alcohol or drugs.

 Despite their benefits, personal cell phones may cause problems in the

workplace. Employees who use their cell phones excessively may get

distracted from their work.

XVIII. SAFETY & SECURITY

 Implemented a Security System with more options available on the market,

having video surveillance is more and more common for small businesses.
 Checked all exit & entry points regularly open reception spaces, broken

elevators, and unsecured fire stairwells can give perpetrators the chance to get

into and potentially access the workplace.

 Secured workspaces while there is a major emphasis on preventing a potential

intruder from entering the office, preventative measures can be taken to minimize

theft and damage should someone get in.

XIX. MINIMUM CASH BALANCED

Minimum cash balance because we are projecting the financial statements of a fictional

business. The minimum cash balance would be maintained by our management team to

avoid shortfalls resulting from differences in cash inflows and cash outflows.
