1. The Students are required to maintain a minimum of 85% attendance per semester to
appear for Mid-Term and University Semester Examination and 90% attendance for being
eligible for OJT/Internship & Placement activities of the institute. Any student failing to meet
said standard shall be liable to get his/her term cancelled & in addition will not be allowed to
participate in Campus Recruitment Program.
2. Absence without permission is considered a serious breach of discipline and the student is
liable to disciplinary action.
3. Continuous absence for a period of more than 4 days without prior permission of
Dean/Principal will result in automatic removal from the roll.
4. In case of absence for more than 2 days, the leave application should be supported by a
Medical Certificate issued by a Registered Government Hospital.
5. All the leave applications must be countersigned by Parent / Guardian / Warden before
forwarding to the Dean/Principal.
6. Students will not be allowed to enter the class room after faculty has entered the class. No
late coming is allowed
7. Students are not permitted to leave from an ongoing class unless a note is sent from the
Director or Dean/Principal office.
8. Students are not allowed to spend time with any other faculty/office-bearers during normal
class hours unless prior explicit permission has been obtained from the Dean/Principal.
9. Attendance is compulsory on the reopening and closing day of any vacation, semester and
other holidays. In case of absence or late coming on Monday / Beginning of the week,
students should meet the Director /Dean/Principal with the below mentioned necessary
documents to get permission to renew attending regular sessions:
i. Submission of the complete class notes of the missed classes in one’s own
handwriting
ii. Read a book as directed by the Dean/Principal and submit a book report in one’s
own handwriting (not less than 20 pages) and present the contents to the faculty
member/s suggested by the Dean/Principal
10. No student shall be allowed to appear for the University examination, of a course if he or
she has not secured minimum 75% of attendance for each course during the semester.
However the institute expects each student to have not less than 90% attendance in each
semester.
11. In case of emergencies students shall apply for leave and intimate the Dean/Principal.
Unauthorized absence will invite strict disciplinary action.
