Dengue Duo Rapid test is an in vitro immunochromatographic, one step assay screening test. The Dengue NS1 Ag can identify dengue virus NS1 antigen in serum, plasma or whole
blood specimens with a high degree of sensitivity and specificity. Dengue IgG/IgM test is designed to simultaneously detect and differentiate IgG and IgM antibodies to dengue virus in
human serum, plasma or whole blood.This test can also detect all four dengue serotypes by using a mixture of recombinant dengue envelope proteins.

A negative result can occur if the quantity of Deng ue virus NS1 Ag present in the specimen is below the detection limits of the assay or the antigens that are detected by test
are not present during the stage of the disease in which sample is collected. The negative test result cannot exclude a recent infection.

The presence of detectable dengue virus NS1 Ag may indicate early dengue infection, as with all diagnostic tests, all results must be considered with other clinical information.

In early infection and some secondary infections, detectable levels of IgM antibodies may be low. Some patients may not produce detectable levels of antibodies within the
first 7-10 days after infection. Where symptoms persist, patients should be tested after 3 -4 days after first specimen. Serological cross-reactivity across the Flavivirus group is
common. Hence confirmation by ELISA tests are recommended for all positive cases
