When is Cellophane Tape or Scotch Tape Preparation done? This method detects which pa
thogenic agent?
 A tape test is the most precise way to diagnose this infection. Pin worms lay their eggs at the
bottom of their cocoons. This is best done in the morning, before washing. The most widely
used method for preparing clear-cellulose tape can detect human pin worm infections.

What pathogenic agent undergoes the Sigmoidoscopy Material procedure?
 A scope is used to inspect the inside of the lower (sigmoid) colon and the rectum during a
flexible sigmoidoscopy. The treatment can help with the diagnosis of bowel problems such as
ulcerative colitis, an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Polyps in the colon can also be detected,
which could lead to colon cancer.

What kind of blood-borne parasites can blood detect?
 Blood-borne parasites include malaria plasmodia, microfilaria species, trypanosomes (the
causative agents of African sleeping sickness and South American Changes disease), and bladder
and intestine schistosomiasis.

Which parasites can be found in Cerebro Spinal Fluid? What position would
you place the patient in, and what are the most
critical nursing considerations after the procedure?
 Eosinophils are uncommon in CSF, but their presence indicates a parasite infection, particularly
Taenia solium and Angiostrongylus cantonensis. The patient is either lying on his side at the
edge of the bed, with his legs drawn up to his tummy and his chin tucked into his chest (fetal
posture), or sitting over a bedside table. Following the procedure, the healthcare provider
should check vital signs, neurologic status, intake and output, and the puncture site for signs of
CSF leakage and blood drainage. Also, double-check that the specimen tube is properly labeled
and numbered.

Which parasite can be found in tissue and biopsy samples?
 Sarcoptes scabei, Demodex species, Tunga penetrans, and myiasis-causing fly larvae are the
most common parasites found in skin and subcutaneous tissues. Leishmania, a protozoal
parasitic parasite, may be widespread.

What parasites can be found in genitourinary secretions?
 Treponema pallidum, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, Haemophilus ducreyi,
Treponema pallidum, Neisseria trachomatis, Haemophilus ducreyi, Treponema pallidum,
Neisseria trachomatis, Haemophilus ducreyi, Treponema pallidum, Ne (herpes simplex virus,
human papillomavirus, HIV).
