NCCT CHEST
SPIRAL SCANNING OF THORAX WAS DONE FROM BASE OF NECK TO THE DOMES OF DIAPHRAGM WITHOUT
ADMINISTRATION OF CONTRAST.
Clinical History: Asthma, cough - 4 years, breathing difficulty. Old history of TB (chest - 6 years ago) for 6 month.
FINDINGS:
Fibronodular opacity with diffuse emphysematous changes seen in apicoposterior segment of the left upper lobe.
Multiple thick to thin fibrotic stands seen in the vicinity extending upto the pleural margin.
Multiple emphysematous bullae seen in both lungs, largest in the right lower lobe, measuring ~ 31 x 26 x 21 mm
(SI x AP x TR) in size.
Fibrotic stand seen in lingular lobe with a subpleural emphysematous bulla, measuring ~ 18 x 23 mm in size.
Multiple nodular areas are seen in the following stations of the mediastinum;
Right upper and lower paratracheal
Prevascular
AP window
Carinal
Bilateral hilar
Azygo esophageal recess
Their size ranges from 6.0 - 10.0 mm in the axial plane. These could represent lymph nodes.
Trachea, major bronchial divisions and mediastinal great vessels appear unremarkable on a non contrast study.
IMPRESSION:
Mediastinal lymphadenopathy.
Fibrosis in apicoposterior segment of the left upper lobe and lingular lobe.
