1. Teacher elicits verbs from the pupils.
2. Teacher writes verbs on the white board.

cards.
5. Pupils volunteer to create a sentence.
6. Pupils write 5 sentences using their
flashcards and play mat.
7. Pupils write 5 sentences in their G1 book.

ACTIVITIES Pre-lesson
1. Teacher draws a timetable and elicit answer from
pupils.

Lesson delivery
2. Introduce the characters in the story using
pictures.
3. Ask pupils to read the story quietly, on their own.
4. Ask pupils some questions, e.g. Where are they?
What are they looking at? Do they have the same
timetable or different timetables?)
5. Follow up by asking pupils for their opinions on
the story.
6. If time allows, play a true-false activity about the
story.

Post-lesson
7. Review the story using a post-lesson task form
the list.
