Students must involve themselves to get the gist of every detail from the text that they are
reading.
This study aims to improve students’ reading comprehension using books with augmented reality
through technology. Graphics, sounds, and interactive videos suffice students’ understanding of
the text. They need to be tangled with the context. Letting the students connect with creative,
captive, and unique experience in one of the most effective ways to comprehend with the text.

3. What are the struggles of grade 7 learners in reading process?
4. How do the audio-visual affects the learners reading comprehension?
5. What recommendations can be made to improve the reading comprehension of grade 7
students?

3. Research Hypotheses
Pertaining to the question of the study, the following hypotheses will put into test:
Ho: Majority of the grade 7 students did not reach the minimum level of proficiency in
reading. They have lower scores in English comprehension test.

H1: Majority of grade 7 students reach the minimum level of understanding using the
English comprehension test.

4. Research Assumptions
The assumptions of the study are the following:
1. Audio-visual highly affects the proficiency in reading and comprehension of grade 7
students.
2. Grade 7 students who are good in audio-visual are tend to be good in comprehension.

6. Scope and Limitations

The purpose of this study is to enhance Grade 7 students’ reading comprehension. Grade
7 students will be the researchers’ respondents for both qualitative and quantitative phase.
The respondents and participants of study belongs to the community of the Sisters of
Mary School-Adlas, Inc. where the study will be held. This study will be conducted in the

interesting and enjoyable textbook that they can refer to students.
FUTURE RESEARCHERS
This will also help future researchers with the same instinct to navigate ideas from this
study.
8. Definition of Terms
