1. Company PT Pertamina
Analysis using SWOT :
1) Strength
 Pertamina Delivery Service
Pertamina provides message services between BBM and LPG directly to
consumers' homes for people who choose to do activities at home.
 Special Services for Loyal Customers
Pertamina provides special appreciation for loyal customers and also special
consumers through the MyPertamina application.
 The Covid-19 Protocol at Service Locations
Pertamina implements the Covid-19 Transmission Prevention protocol at the
fuel and LPG service locations which must be obeyed by both officers and
consumers who buy.
 Pertamina Covid-19 Reference Hospital
Pertamina dedicates a number of its company assets as a special hospital
for handling Covid-19. Such as Pertamina Jaya Hospital.
 Pertamina also realizes assistance for the community, such as donating
masks, hand sanitizers, personal protective equipment (hazmat), gloves for
health workers, basic necessities, etc.
2) Weakness
Pertamina continues to operate all existing assets, from upstream,
refineries, downstream, retail, and gas, all of which continue to operate, so
that the company's condition is not far from pressure. This is because sales
fell during the pandemic.
3) Opportunities
 Pertamina as a company at the forefront in assisting the Government in
handling Covid-19.
 Improve the good image of Pertamina companies in Indonesian society.
4) Threats
The burden of low Indonesian oil prices (ICP) due to the decline in world oil
prices. Meanwhile, the rupiah exchange rate swelled up due to economic
uncertainty.

2. In Indonesia, cigarette companies have limited promotion, this is due to the


Indonesian government through new regulations that impose restrictions on
promoting cigarettes, such as the prohibition of giving free cigarette samples, the
prohibition of inviting directly to buy cigarettes. This causes cigarette companies to
make cigarette brand advertisements on television look abstract like natural
scenery or the activities of the ad actors and no one shows cigarettes in the
advertisements they make. So that one of the other ways that cigarette companies
do is to find new strategies to be able to promote their products to consumers, to
carry out activities such as creating events from various genres such as music,
sports, cultural arts, religion, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). For
example: Djarum League, Java Jazz, etc.

3. Media is a means to communicate something.


The function of good relations of media with PR:
1) Raising the corporate image
2) Helping the company out of the issue of negative
3) Raising the relationship of the various public
4) Increasing public confidence in the products and services offered by the
company
5) Create a positive image of a company in the eyes of society
Example: A Public relations cooperated with media. For example, a client who
wants to spread positive information about culture & culture in Indonesia. Public
relations must work well with the mass media, the press or journalists so that the
process of mutually beneficial cooperation between PR & Media. PR makes a good
press release about Indonesian culture followed by distribution of the release to the
mass media. So, PR must establish a good relationship with the media.

1. Contribution and support of BRI Bank for MSMEs in Indonesia

Jakarta, 20 November 2020 - Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has
an important role in the Indonesian economy. However, in the midst of the current
Covid-19 pandemic, MSME actors are facing heavy pressure, because they cannot
carry out economic activities as usual.

Bank BRI, which has a commitment to focus on empowering MSMEs in Indonesia,


does not remain silent seeing the current conditions. President Director of BRI,
Sunarso, said that currently the company is focusing on maintaining the
sustainability of the business of MSME players. On this basis, BRI continues to
distribute People's Business Credit (KUR) to keep the economy moving.

Another effort the company has made to keep MSMEs afloat is to support the
operation of economic centers and shopping centers, such as traditional markets.
The company's innovations include launching a web marketplace, where this
breakthrough was appreciated by the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Teten
Masduki. In addition, BRI has also distributed masks to 1 million market traders in
Indonesia, so that they can be safe and protected when carrying out economic
activities.

2. New Trip Schedule & Protocol in Pandemic

Jakarta, November 20 2020 - In connection with the news about the Covid-19 virus
outbreak that hit Indonesia, PT Garuda Indonesia decided to rearrange the service
system for the safety of its customers in the field of national and international
aviation.

Located at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Garuda Indonesia informs the


public that the flight will continue to operate by rearranging the flight schedule, with
this action the flight schedule will experience a total change.

Garuda Indonesia will also carry out a strict Health protocol before the plane takes
off. Due to the health protocol system, the maximum number of passengers that
can be increased can only be up to 50% of the proper capacity.
