NARRATIVE IN THE OPLAN ENVIRONMENT

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

INCOME GENERATING PROGRAM (IGP)

S.Y. 2019-2020
October 1, 2019

The Department of Education, Division of San Jose City, Nueva Ecija continuosly implement the
OPLAN ENVIRONMENT PROGRAM based on the Division Memorandum No. 063, in which the
fourth year of full implementation of the said program. As part of the program, the teachers were
assigned in the different areas in the Oplan Environment which is the Entrepreneurship, IGP Program.
The objective of this program is to generate an income with students’ participation of Sto Niño 3rd
National High School. As part for the preparation for the Entrepreneurship Program headed by Mrs.
Kristine Joed C. Mendoza together with the school principal Mrs. Rosana A. Bote decided to plan the
different ways and means of helping the students to give them allowance from their IGP. It is an
important component in the drive towards promoting their entrepreneurial skills which can improve the
academic performance and their well-being and also to increase student engagement and success- and
favourably impact completion rates-students need to be equipped wuth the perseverance and
determination of an entrepreneurial mindset.

If education equips students with an entrepreneurial mindset at the outset of their careers, they will
be more engaged and take ownership of their own success. Moreover students who were involved in
ways of entrepreneurial learning were in most cases rather enthusiast about this, as they found that this
kind of learning was more fun and was experienced as more meaningful than the traditional way of
learning.
It is indeed integral part of Oplan Environment because it can make them productive by engaging in
this activity and producing their unique products and sell them to their classmates and it will serve as
their training grounds towards their dream on becoming a successful entrepreneur and by recycling
waste materials like plastic, papers and plastic bottles into a beautiful handicraft masterpies in that way
the students can help the mother Earth in their simple ways.

Attached herewith are the mode of verification (MOVs) and the lists of products and profits by the
students.
