ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Tin can candle holder is based on a recycled tin can of milk that has been produce for decorations and
enhancing aesthetic value of candles.

INTRODUCTION

Candles can be used to give warmth to your home or to create an ambience at an occasion. Candle holders
are necessary whether you want to use candles to improve and illuminate your area or to give your living
room a nice vibe. Candle holders' main purpose is to offer a secure and safe base for candles to avoid any
accidents.

PROCESS TYPE

In developing this product, batch type processing is the appropriate process since the product
being produced is at moderate volume. The skill level of workers does not need to be as high and there is
lesser variety compared to other process types. (Stevenson, 2018)

bench vise for ease of cutting the holes.

 The brown folder must be properly
aligned and well folded in assembling the
packaging of the product.
After Production/Inspection  The tin can candle holder must be
properly stored in the packaging.

The group decided to have an acrylic paint has one of the materials for the product despite its

The headcount was determined based on the estimated takt time required in which it is 45 mins.
The overall process took 43 minutes, and the justification of the headcount was made based on the time
required for the production to be complete. Having three (3) workers on the production makes it
convenient to work on the tasks and achieve the desired time required. The tasks and its duration are
computed based on the trial made by the group members and how long would it take if one (1) person
would make the product.

JOB SPECIFICAITON FOR DIRECT LABOR

1. He or she must properly arrange all recycled tin cans, remove the brand packaging, and washing
before proceeding to the next step.
2. He or she must cut holes in the tin can using the tools and equipment provided.
3. He or she will paint the tin can using acrylic paint.
4. He or she will make the packaging of the product using the materials provided.
