OUTLINE
This service bulletin contains the procedure for installing piping for auxiliary control of attachments
(assist piping, using additional pumps) onto the ZX330-5G. Install the piping while referring to the
procedure described on the following pages (see the Contents).

See the following pages.

Thoroughly read the safety section in the service manual before starting the work to ensure safe operation.
Welding work, if any, should only be done by qualified welders.
If the main hydraulic equipment, engine, etc. are retrofitted as an option or replaced, be sure to register the
serial number of the device installed or retrofitted on Global e-Service (MMR, HR, MME, and G-Claim).

1 Purpose of the kits ZX330-5G-214
These kits are used for auxiliary control of attachments such as swing devices
(e.g., 360° swing type Fork Grapples and 360° turn type Crushers), chuck cylinders of hydraulic vibro
hammers, and so forth. For some machine models, the additional pump parts can be used to increase the
flow rate of the attachment piping (main piping). (Additional parts are required.)

2 Kit types
Several types of kits are provided according to the hydraulic system, front piping, and operating method.
Combine kits that are appropriate for the usage purpose and user requirements.

(1) Additional pump kit

1) An additional pump is used as the hydraulic system.
2) This kit includes a gear pump, an additional valve (24.5 MPa), and piping parts.
3) The discharge rate is approximately 30 L/min. To control the flow rate, an additional slow return valve
is required.
4) The additional valve has a main relief. The pressure preset upon shipment from the factory is 24.5
MPa. Adjust this based on the attachment's specifications.
5) The additional pump's discharge pressure can be monitored by installing a high-pressure sensor onto
the additional valve's port M.

(2) Assist front piping kit

1) The 3/8-inch front pipe branches into one right pipe and two left pipes. Install them onto the sides of
the boom and arm. (The arm piping is below the main piping.)
2) Connect the piping to the self-sealing joints at the arm's front end. This kit does not include a hose to
connect the piping to the attachment. Prepare a hose that is appropriate for the attachment.
3) This kit includes parts for a standard arm. To install the kit parts onto a long or short arm, procure
pipes, hoses, and protectors appropriate for the relevant arm type. Order them from the parts depot
while referring to the applicable parts list.
4) This kit includes two types of self-sealing joints for installation at the arm's front end. Be sure to install
them correctly.
- Self-sealing joint part No. 4232933 (upper left pipe)
This assembly consisting of a body (female) and nose (male) is for use with the drain pipe. The nose
side has no sealing mechanism. Install the body (female) onto the arm pipe, and install the nose
(male) onto the attachment-side hose. Installing the parts incorrectly will damage the attachment
swing motor's seal.
- Self-sealing joint part No. 4059552 (lower left and upper right pipes)
This assembly consists of a body (female) and nose (male). A sealing mechanism is provided on
both parts. To correctly install them onto the drain pipe, install the nose (male) onto the arm pipe,
and install the body (female) onto the attachment-side hose.
5) The upper left pipe is used for draining. When using this kit for a cylinder line (e.g., the chuck of a
hydraulic vibro hammer), use the lower left pipe as a drain pipe.

(3) Electrical operation kit

1) This kit is for achieving auxiliary control of the attachment using the electric switches built into the
control lever grips.
2) This kit includes grips (on both sides), harnesses, a solenoid valve, and piping parts.
