 REALITY SHOW
■ Reality television is a type of television show that depicts ostensibly
unscripted real-life situations and frequently features unidentified
people rather than professional performers. With shows like The Real
World, reality television developed a unique genre in the early 1990s,
then rose to prominence in the early 2000s with the success of shows
like Survivor, Idols, and Big Brother, all of which became global
franchises.
 BIGBOSS

■ Here, we'll use the reality show Bigboss as an example.

■ Bigg Boss has been a hit on Indian television since its first season in 2006, with
fans eager to see what the show has in store for its next season. Given that the
participants will be required to stay within the Bigg Boss house walls for an extended
period of time, the producers ensure that the accommodation is also cheerful and
aesthetically pleasing for the housemates.
■ Over the course of 11 years, the Bigg Boss house has been decorated to reflect the
year's theme. From a large aircraft stranded in the garden area during Season 8 to
the Heaven and Hell concept in Season 7, we've seen it all.Omung and his wife,
designer Vanita, worked for 66 days with a team of 200 people to build the Bigg
Boss 11 house.
HEAVEN AND HELL CONCEPT IN SEASON 7
The Bigg Boss 11 house's living area is a kaleidoscope of colours that creates visual noise. Pop art is
strewn about the walls. One wall in the bedroom is covered in monochromatic photographs, with each
frame experimenting with forms, lines, and shapes. The ceiling was designed with a disco vibe in mind.

The Big Boss Season 9 house was a feast for the eyes, with a riot of colour in its wall decor and equally
inviting circular seating in the centre of the living room. The outside seating was completely green,
making it a comfortable place for participants to chat or work late at night.

The Big Boss Season 8 house in Lonavala was designed to look like the interior of an aeroplane. Even
the host, Salman Khan, made a grand entrance, dressed as a pilot and calmly exiting the cockpit of an
aeroplane. Although the house's physical appearance remained unchanged, it was decorated with its
new theme of wood, fur, and leather furnishings.
Divided into two sections the Bigg Boss season 7 house was themed depicting the luxuries of Heaven
and the animosities of Hell. With a pool and beach-like feeling, the heaven side of the house had a
serenity with a floral touch while the Hell portion was designed in a dungeon-style.
