ART APPRECIATION

ACTIVITY SHEET
MODULE 2
NAME: SANGALANG, PATRICIA ELENA J.
COURSE AND SECTION: BEED 1-1
DIRECTION: Read each statement, follow the instruction per each statement.
1. Art is not nature; Nature is not art. (Explained / elaborate)
➔ Nature is not art because, in many senses, art is not "natural"; rather, it is
a human invention. Although it occasionally seems to be close to nature
or even occasionally "go beyond" nature, it always comes back to the
human mind, heart, and hands. And the Almighty God created nature.

2. Art is made by man (Explained)

➔ Yes, human beings create and construct art. Animals lack the ability to
create art, and random events can't result in works that are captivating
enough to qualify as works of art. We may declare that the natural world
is art because it is the Creator's handiwork; this would place it above
human-made art. This viewpoint was held by Renaissance artists.
Typically, it alludes to artistic disciplines. like, for example, architects,
artists or painters.
3. Art is everywhere (Elaborate)
➔ There is always art everywhere, which simply means that everything is
art. Yeah, everything we see is art. It is understandable why some
individuals think an intelligent design created us. God is the architect of
our existence, but we are the engineers. Since art exists everywhere,
everything is an artwork. Also, we can exhibit our originality and
imagination via art. By expressing feelings, thoughts, and observations
through photography, sculpture, painting, or other media, artists help us
to appreciate the world around us or to experience it from new
perspectives.
4. Art is man’s oldest means of expression (write your point of view)
➔ A work of art is produced when a novel combination of elements in
the medium is introduced (tones in music, words in literature,
paints on canvas, and so on). The elements were already present
but not in the same arrangement; creation is the reconstitution of
these earlier components. It goes without saying that creation
occurs in a variety of artistic mediums. Once this is acknowledged,
however, there has still been nothing stated about expression, and
an expressionist would contend that the aforementioned
description of creation is insufficient to convey everything that
needs to be said about the creative process.

5. Art as a means of expression & communication (explained)

➔ Even though art is a vehicle for us to express our ideas, feelings,
intuitions, and wishes, it also allows us to share how we view the
world, which for many people is a reflection of who they are as
people. It is the accurate representation of private ideas that
cannot be expressed via words alone. With a different kind of
vocabulary—one without words—art is a way to communicate.
People have pursued their drive for self-expression throughout
history, perhaps in contrast to what came before. To communicate
deeper truths, artists make objects and images from a variety of
materials.
