1. What are the requirements for progressing to the next year of study?
升入下一年级有什么要求？
To progress to the next year of study, you must:
 achieve at least 40% in modules amounting to 37.5 credits in Years 1 and 2 separately, 30
credits in Year 3; and
 achieve at least 40% in all mandatory modules*; and
 achieve an overall year average of at least 40%; and
 achieve a minimum mark of 35% in all modules.
If you do not meet the above requirements, you must resit all failed modules that provide resit
opportunities, including those in which you achieved marks of 35%-39%.
After the resit exam, the same progression rules apply except that you may be allowed to progress
with up to 5 credits of failure below 35% in the non-mandatory modules. In that case, you must re-
take and pass the module during the next year, otherwise you will not be permitted to carry the
same failed module(s) again into the next level of study.
* Information about mandatory modules can be sought from each Undergraduate programme specification
which is available on e-Bridge.

2. What does CP mean?

什么是 CP?
CP is short for Compensatory Pass. If you meet the progression requirements above, your module
marks between 35-39% will be compensated and recorded on your transcript as 40%. The CP rule is
only applicable to the modules of Year 1 to Year 3.
CP 是指补偿性通过。如果你达到上述升级要求，成绩在 35-39%分之间的课程即视为补偿性
通过，成绩记为 40%分。CP 规则只适用于大一到大三的课程。
 3. When is the decision made regarding whether I can get my module marks compensated?
补偿性通过的结果是什么时候决定的？
All module marks will be reviewed at the Boards of Examiners which are held in early/mid-July and
late August where decisions are made by each departmental Board of Examiners.

4. If I fail to progress, do I need to repeat all the modules of my current year?

如果不能升级，需要重修今年所有课程吗？
No, you only need to repeat your failed modules.
你只需要重修没通过的课程。

5. How many times can I repeat at the same level?

我最多可以在同一个年级重读几次？
You may be permitted to repeat Year 1 up to a maximum of 4 times, but the maximum registration
period is 8 years which includes all periods of repeat study and periods of suspension of studies.
Where a total of five years are consumed before you are able to progress to Year 2, you have one
attempt only for each remaining level of study, without additional opportunities of repeat or
suspension.
大一最多允许重读四次，但包括重读及休学在内的在校最长注册年限不得超过八年。若有同
学需耗费五年时间才从大一升级到大二，他们自大二到大四每个年级均只有一次修读机会，
且不得休学或重读。

6. If I fail to progress to the next level of study, how much shall I pay for the tuition fee?
如果我没能升级，需要交多少学费？
Your tuition fee would be released on e-Bridge in late August. (The formula: Failed credits * Full
Tuition Fee in 4 years/180 credits)
具体的学费可以在八月底登录 e-Bridge 查询。(计算公式：重修总学分* 4 年总学费/180 学分)
