Upgrading Method of Color Screen IP Phone Standby Background Pictures:
1. Upgrade on webpage: Upgrade IP phone standby background pictures on webpage, and upgraded pictures
will appear in background picture list.
Note: Picture format shall be .bmp.

Ringtone Creation Process:

1. Install audio editing software, such as CoolEdit2.1.

2. Import ringtone into software, edit and then save it.

3. Import ringtone from webpage to IP phone

4. Test and verify.

Ringtone format: (Different IP phones support different ringtone file formats)

X3S/X4：8K/16K 16-bit linear samples; 8K/16K 8-bit u/A-law samples

Sample rate---- 8K/16K

Resolution---- 16-bit/8-bit
Format---- Linear/u/a-law (*.wav)
Max file size is 500k; files bigger than 500k will be automatically cut by IP phone.

X4U/X5U/X6U/X7/X7C/X210/X210i: Sample rate is 8000/16000; resolution is 16-bit.

Sample rate---- 8K/16K

Resolution ---- 16-bit
Format ---- *.wav
File is about 30s and smaller than 256K.

2. Creation and Upgrading of Customized Ringtone
Upgrade Ringtone:
Upgrade ringtone on IP phone webpage (System>>Upgrade>>Upgrade Ringtone) and upgraded ringtone
will appear in ringtone list.

3. BLF List Function
Function introduction: With BLF (Busy Lamp Field) function, user can get call state of IP phone No. by
subscribing the No.

Configure to-be-subscribed No. on IP phone DSS key, and when call state of subscribed No. changes, IP
phone will prompt subscriber by illuminating lamp.

Only 1 No. can be monitored by configuring 1 BLF No., while, with BLF List function, several No. can be
monitored. User can set to-be-monitored or to-be-subscribed No. through PBX server or other methods, and
IP phone automatically configure such set No. to corresponding DSS keys. When call state of any subscribed
No. changes, subscriber will receive corresponding prompt.

In other words, BLF List is a collection of BLF subscription function, and enables user to quickly check states
of several No.

Servers Supported by BLF List:

Realization of BLF List functions requires cooperation between IP phone and PBX server.
By present, the PBX servers, which have been tested by Fanvil IP phones for perfect cooperation, include:
BroadWorks of BroadSoft, FortiVoice of Fortinet and VoiceSwitch and etc.

4. Checking and Use of Audio Quality Detection and Other Functions

Enable audio quality detection: Start RTCP-XR, set relevant parameters displayed in audio quality report,
as shown below.

After audio quality detection is enabled, check IP phone audio quality state in IP phone System—Information.
