ZIGZAG MALLORCA - WALK PROPOSAL: 1st to 7th of May

All the walks have a price of 25 €/pax + 5 € per person if transport is necessary

1st Day : Menut to Pi de Sa Grua

Easy, descending walk on broad paths and holm oak forest, at the foot of Puig Tomir (1104
m). The walk is part of the last stage of the GR221 The Drystone Route (Stage 8: Lluc
Monastery to Pont Romà Refuge in Pollença).

Start point: Recreational area Menut I (541m)


Finish point: Pi de Sa Grua (km 5.3 MA-10, Pollença - Sóller) (100m)
Distance: approx. 9.71 km
Difficulty: Easy (mostly over the GR 221)
Highest point: 600 m
Ascent: +90 m / Descent: -532 m
Approx. time: 4h (including breaks)

2nd Day: Coll de sa Gramola to Sant Elm

A coastal walk with a panoramic view of Dragon Island, visiting the ruins of Trapa Monastery
and the 400-year-old Watchtower from Cala Basset.

Start point: Coll de sa Gramola (344m)


Finish point: Sant Elm (2m)
Distance: approx. 10.31 km
Difficulty: Easy (mostly over the GR 221)
Highest point: 466 m
Ascent: +246 m / Descent: -585 m
Approx. time: 3h30’ (including breaks)

3rd Day: Camí d’Arxiduc

In 1867 the Austrian Archduke Ludwig Salvador, a member of the Habsburg family, visited
Mallorca and he loved it so much that he stayed. He was a passionate walker and a nature
lover. He built an impressive bridleway with refugees and viewpoints that you could enjoy in
this walk. The walk has an easy to moderate level.

Start & Endpoint: Valldemossa (400m)


Distance: approx. 11 km
Difficulty: Easy/ Moderate
Highest point: 938 m (Puig Gros)
Ascent: +494 m / Descent: -488 m
Approx. time: 3h30 (including breaks)

4th Day: The Three Thousands

A circular walk over the three minor summits over one thousand meter on the southern side
of Cúber Reservoir.

Start & Endpoint: Font des Noguer (740m)


Distance: approx. 11,5 km
Difficulty: Moderate
Highest point: 1,113 m (Puig de sa Rateta)
Ascent/ Descent: +/- 620 m
Approx. time: 5h (including breaks)

5th Day: Deià to Sóller

A walk through olive and orange groves, drystone walls and typical Mallorcan cultivated
countryside.

Start point: Deià (160m)


Finish point: Sóller (50m)
Distance: approx. 13.5 km
Difficulty: Easy/Medium (mostly over the GR 221)
Highest point: 291m
Ascent: +352 m / Descent: -441 m
Approx. time: 5h (including breaks)

6th Day: Moleta de Binifaldó

Round walk starting and ending at Lluc Monastery, on forest paths and through areas of
bizarre rock, with an ascent to Moleta de Binifaldó (837m)

Start point: Lluc (480m)


Finish point: Lluc (480m)
Distance: approx. 11.2 km
Difficulty: Moderate
Highest point: 837m
Ascent: +404 m / Descent: -396 m
Approx. time: 4h 30’ (including breaks)

7th Day: Cúber to Sóller

Cúber Reservoir is surrounded by the highest peaks on Mallorca and is the beginning of
many hikes in the area. This walk includes the summit to Puig de l’Ofre and the descent
through Barranc de Biniarraix to Sóller, one of Mallorca’s most impressive gorges.

Start point: Cúber Reservoir (750m)


Finish point: Sóller (50m)
Distance: approx. 15.1 km
Difficulty: Moderate
Highest point: Puig de l’Ofre 1093 m
Ascent: +410 m / Descent: -1110 m
