Number of students: 23
Students’ interaction: whole class, individual work and pair work.

Specific aims:
 To revise previous vocabulary (holiday places, activities);
 To consolidate Ss knowledge about action in progress
 To revise the structure like/don’t like+ verb-ing
 To teach good linguistic habits ( of pronunciation, grammar);
 To develop listening, speaking and reading skills in a creative way;

Objectives. By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to :


 Talk about free time activities
 Talk about holiday places
 Use like/don’t like to express their preferences
 Use present continuous tot talk about action in progress

Anticipated problems:
 Teacher must be aware of the Ss’ emotional mood because this class hasn’t experienced
lessons with other teachers in the classroom and they can be unwilling to participate in
an active way;
 The lesson plan can be too amitious or too poor for the Ss’ level and therefore if the
lesson goes well there will be an extra exercise or a game, depending on the elapsed
time.

1 Warm up 5’ - T enters , greets and checks SS T-SS Ice- breaker
dice attendance. SS-T

- T asks SS to choose a dice :
blue or red and then roll the dice.
Each SS have to answer to a
question from the dice.
2 Lead in 6 -T asks Ss if they remember T-SS Team game
what they talked in their SS-T
previous lesson. Team
- T asks to form two teams and work

- Free Time | Baamboozle.
T writes the title and the date on
the whiteboard. T announces SS
that they will have a revision
from the last unit.
3 Reading 10’ - T gives SS worksheets with 4 T-SS
for specific texts about places for holidays SS-T Matching
information - T asks SS to match the texts Pairs Elicitation
with the pictures, in pairs. Guessing game
- T asks SS twhich is their Conversation
favourite holiday place and
which is their favourite activity .
- T announces SS that they will
play a game. T has flashcards
with different places and
different activities. T choose on
flashcard without showing them
what is it about, and then shows
only a small part of the flashcard
then, SS have to guess what is
it.
-After the end of the game, T
asks SS to choose two flashcards
with places , and two flashcards
with free time activities
- T asks to make a positive
statement and a negative one,
using the structure : I like going
to the beach but I don’t like
going to the mountains.
