How To Use The Fearless Fluency Club

Welcome to The Fearless Fluency Club!

Congratulations on choosing to improve your English skills! It’s my pleasure to guide you to
become a confident, fluent English speaker.

Each month, I recommend reviewing this recommended study plan so that you can remember
how to use this course in the best way possible. Of course, this is only a recommended study
guide. You know yourself and your study habits better than I do, so please feel free to adjust
and use the lessons however you want.

How long should you study these materials each day? I recommend learning for at least 15
minutes per day. If you can spend 30 minutes or longer on some days, that would be great.

Along with studying the lessons, make sure that you join the private Facebook group, introduce
yourself, participate in weekly live lessons, and meet with other members on Skype.

When you first join the course, you will be able to download that month’s lesson set
immediately. For as long as you are a member, you can download each new lesson set on the 1 st
day of the month.

Please check your email for a code that will help you unlock the new lesson set. If you don’t
receive the email, please email me immediately. I want to help you start studying as soon as
possible. My email address is: contact@speakenglishwithvanessa.com

Spend some time reviewing the tutorials on the website so that you can use the course in the
best way possible.

I can’t wait to help you become a confident, fluent English speaker. Let’s get started!

Your Teacher,
Vanessa

How To Use The Fearless Fluency Club Materials

WEEK 1: Vocabulary
*This will be the busiest week, but don’t worry, you can do it! 
1. After you download the videos, audios, transcripts, and the lesson guide, I recommend
printing them. This will help you to take notes and follow every word and expression.
*Bonus tip: Buy a folder and organize all of your Fearless Fluency Club materials.
2. Take a look at “The Monthly Lesson Guide” document so that you can know what we
will be learning about this month.
3. Next, I recommend watching the conversation lesson video. The conversation is fast,
natural, and challenging. There will probably be new words, sentences, and expressions
for you. That is excellent because if you want to become fluent, you need to learn new
concepts. Don’t worry if it is challenging to understand all of the conversation. Just
watch it, and follow the transcript if you would like. You will be amazed that at the end
of the month, the conversation will be much easier.
4. During Week 1, we will study the vocabulary lesson. Watch the video lesson, follow the
transcript, check The Monthly Lesson Guide, make your own sentences, read them out
loud, and choose a couple words to use in your next English conversation.
5. If you have a speaking partner, use the vocabulary questions with your partner. You can
find these questions at the end of The Lesson Guide. It is not required to use a speaking
partner from the club, but it is an option that you can choose, if you want. Feel free to
use these questions in your self-study or with a friend or teacher.
6. Each week during the month, you can join my live lesson time. This will be a live
Facebook lesson for our Private Facebook Group only. This will be your chance to use the
vocabulary, answer my vocabulary questions together, and also ask me any questions
about the vocabulary. I will always be available via email to support you, too.
-If you have questions and you can’t come to the live lesson, feel free to email me, and I
will answer via email or the live lesson.

WEEK 2: Grammar

1. Watch the grammar video lesson, follow the transcript, and check The Monthly Lesson
Guide. Feel free to take notes and make your own sentences.
2. Read the sample sentences out loud from The Monthly Lesson Guide and the video
lesson. This will help your ears get used to hearing your voice using natural English
grammar. It’s really important to hear yourself using natural English!
3. Answer the speaking questions about grammar with your speaking partner. You can
use the speaking questions about grammar in your self-study or with a teacher or friend.
Just don’t forget to speak out loud!
4. Join the Live Support in our private Facebook group. Do you have any questions about
the grammar lesson? Ask me here! We’ll also use this time to practice the grammar
points, so make sure you study this lesson before the Live Support!
5. I recommend reviewing the vocabulary lesson because it has been one week since you
studied the vocabulary.

WEEK 3: Pronunciation
*Follow the same steps as WEEK 2: review the vocabulary and grammar lessons.

WEEK 4: Conversation

1. Watch the conversation video lesson and follow the transcript. Was it easier than the
first time at the beginning of the month? If you followed this guide, I’m sure it was!
2. With your speaking partner, answer any questions that you haven’t finished. Feel free
to talk about this month’s topic together. You can talk about these topics in your self-
study, or with a teacher or friend.
3. Join during the live lesson in our private Facebook group. We’ll talk about the
conversation lesson, and you can ask me any questions about this month’s lesson set.
Make sure you study the conversation lesson before the live lesson!

How to use “The Story”
The purpose of the story is to give you more context for each vocabulary word, grammar
concept, pronunciation, and extra vocabulary. I will always try to make the story memorable
and interesting, of course!

1. First listen to each version of the story (1, 2, 3) to understand the content.
2. Listen to the Story 1 + Questions and answer the questions out loud; if you need extra
time, just pause the audio until you are ready.
3. Shadow with each story: this means that you can pause the video after each word (for
intensive pronunciation practice) or after each sentence and repeat exactly what the
speaker said. I recommend shadowing after you have already listened at least once and
also without the transcript. This will help your ears focus instead of reading, too.
4. To practice grammar, read each story carefully and notice the verb tense changes and
sentence structure.
5. Test your memory and try to memorize the story!
6. Or test your paraphrasing skills and re-tell the story in your own words.
7. Practice listening for accuracy by doing a dictation: listen to one sentence, and try to
write it down exactly. Check your answers by looking at the transcript. Dictation is great
for improving accurate listening because you can’t just understand the context, you have
to understand each word
8. Use all of your sense by drawing a picture of the story! It’s proven that using visual aides
can help your memory. Share the picture with us on Facebook!
9. With your speaking partner, answer the conversation question at the end of Story 1 and
discuss your opinions.
10.Or write your opinions for the conversation question and try to use some of the
vocabulary from the lesson.
