First Time

First time always comes ones.

Many things start with a first,
therefore here we are to be the ones
to recite our very first.

The first to be among my brothers and sisters

to see the beauty of life
the first, where families are proud
and to know the meaning of joyfulness

The very first step I took and walked

when I was about one plus
wobbly I walked
to reach my little destinations

The first two words I uttered

of happiness
the very word
‘ma’ and ‘pa’to fill them with gladness.

The first time, I set my foot in school

a sense of fear and anxiety
to know that the school
might not bring the joy.

Yet, feeling timid but boldly I place my fear

knowing there’s no turning back
knowing and hoping that I will soar
with confidence returning back.

First time comes along

with expectation set to continue
knowing all along
that it is where I belong
 The years go by
yet I am still standing by
with hope all difficulties might pass by
and victory to be achieved by.

The first time, to taste success

knowing the sweetness it feels
knowing how I overcome the fears
and victory, that it gives.

Now, knowing all the very first

I am ready to see to it
knowing to achieve if I have to be at my best
thus I look to the challenges of the very first.

Yes, I might fail at my trying

but I will hold knowing I can keep on trying
until success might be mine
that I am able to share.

Today, I stand in front of all

knowing I fear none
knowing I will not fall
but be aware of being brave.

Today I stand with courage

to face the situation
today, my first will shine
knowing I will win.

The first time, to taste success
