Do you have a favorite extreme sport?

Record Mp3 audio telling us about it and

upload it.

Yes, my favorite extreme sport and the one that catch most of my attention is

Skiing. The reason why that sport catches my attention is because I think it would be really

funny to be skiing over the snow with a lot of speed and also, I would feel a lot of

adrenaline.

Now Im gonna talk with a bit more detail about what is Skiing. Well Skiing is a

recreation sport and also a mode of transportation that involves moving over the snow by

the use of a pair of long flat runners called skis, those skis are attached or bound to the

shoes or boots. There are also a lot of competition involving this sport, those competition

are divided into three that are Alphine, Nordic, and freestyle events. The competitions are

also held in events such as speed skiing and snowboarding.

In addition, Is essential to use the recommended equipment in this sport because the

equipment is the thing that protects you against cold or dangerous accidents. The

equipments that are used in this sport are the following ones:

1.Helmet.

2.Goggles.

3.Long underwear

4.Ligth fleece or wool top.

5. Ski or snowboard socks.

6. ski or snowboard jacket.

7. ski or snowboard pants.

8.Gloves or mittens.

9. Neck gaiter or balaclava.

That equipment is essential because without them it would mean in the worse of

the cases to face the death in a terrible accident.

This sport was developed in Skiing was a prehistoric activity; the oldest known

skis date to between 8000 and 7000 BCE and were discovered in Russia. Early

skis have been found in many areas of northern Europe: a 4,000-year-old rock

carving depicting skis was found near the Arctic Circle in Norway, and

hundreds of ski fragments that are 1,000 to 3,500 years old have been found in

bogs in Sweden, Norway, and Finland. Some of the first skis were short and

broad, resembling snowshoes more than modern skis. Skiing certainly was not

confined to Europe, though, as the first written references to skiing are from the

Han dynasty (206 BCE–220 CE) and describe skiing in northern China.

To conclude im going to talk about the rules of this sport. Those rules are the following
ones: Here are the seven rules of slope safety to keep you and others
out of harm’s way:

1. Always stay in control and be able to stop or avoid other

people or objects.
2. People ahead of you have the right of way. It’s your
responsibility to avoid them.
3. Don’t stop where you obstruct a trail or aren’t visible from
above.
4. Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill
and yield to others.
5. Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.
6. Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails
and out of closed areas.
7. Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and
ability to load, ride, and unload safely.

Well that’s all, in my opinion skiing is an amazing sports but the people must

know the rules in order to protect themselves and the others. thanks you for you

attention and goodbye.
