PROJECTS
Research paper citing the project work has been selected for
presentation in 8th International Conference on Numerical Methods
in Industrial Forming Processes to be held in Columbus, Ohio,
USA in June 2004.
• Major Seminar: Collaborative Engineering through Software Agents
As enterprises become more agile and time-to- market shrinks, it
becomes increasingly essential to coordinate the activities of people and
services distributed across region and time. Examined the role software
agents can play in tight integration of segregated teams and players.
Surveyed the research work going in worldwide.
• Developed the web-interface in XML for a project to improve the cost,
quality and delivery of castings for small firms
• Designed an automated mechanical system to manufacture key chain
and key ring on a mass scale
• Studied and calibrated the Stratasys FDM1650 rapid prototyping
machine. The project provided a much-needed opportunity to
comprehend the functioning and working accuracy level of an RP
hardware
• Developed a software program to handle After Sales Service of an
organization with an external database of customers
• Developed a software program to simulate a given Job-Shop. The
project involved extensive use of advanced features of C++ like
pointers and linked lists
• Developed and fabricated a digital lock. This involved use of 89c52
micro-controller to program the logic of functioning of lock
• Delivered seminars on “Principles of Hydrostatic Extrusion”, “Design
of Progressive Dies”, and “Adhesive Bonding in Metals”
