I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, learners are expected to:

● Identify the various equipment, tools, and


paraphernalia used in providing health care based on
task requirements.
● Apply the proper utilization of equipment, tools and
paraphernalia based on task requirements.
● Value the importance of proper procedure in utilizing
each tool as an aspirant, efficient and dependable
caregiver/care provider.
● Earn lifelong skills that they could apply on a daily
basis.

A. Content Standard The learner demonstrates understanding of the Use of


Caregiving Tools, Equipment and paraphernalia.
B. Performance Standard The learner completely recognizes the proper utilization of
caregiving Equipments, Tools, and Paraphernalia.

A. Introduction Tell me what you know!!

Direction: The teacher will post a question and the students


will be asked to answer through raising their hands or chatting
their answers on the chat box.

Checking the scheme and prerequisite skills of a student is


a must. This will help the teacher to determine how much
his/her student knows. Through this activity the teacher will
be able to measure and analyze what she needs to do to fulfill
the knowledge gap and transfer knowledge to her students
through active discussion.

Direction: The students will be asked to bring certain tools,


equipment or paraphernalia used in different tasks and to add
some twist they are going to discuss to the class how those
tools, equipment, and paraphernalia used.

Goal Orientation

To be an efficient and reliable caregiver, you must


completely recognize the proper utilization of the different
tools, equipment, and paraphernalia. Through training and
adequate knowledge and skills on how to operate and apply
them in any situation this will affect the life of a patient.

In this lesson the students will be equipped with


necessary skills and knowledge in operating caregiving tools,
equipment, and paraphernalia.

Learning Task 1: Arrange It!!


C. Engagement
DIRECTION:
The teacher will divide the class into 3; they are going to
use numbers 1-7. Arrange the following procedure in taking
vital signs and preparing meals to see if they really understand
the lesson.

Learning Task 2: (Performance Task)


DIRECTION:
Create a 3-minute video where you are asked to prepare
a meal or take vital signs. You are going to illustrate the
proper utilization of tools, equipment or paraphernalia. For
example you are supposed to make a garlic bread now you're
going to perform the proper procedure while making a bread.
