1. How do you lay table napkin?

In folding table napkin, Lay the napkin face down in front of you. On the other hand when you’re
setting the table, whether it’s a casual family meal or a formal event, knowing the right place to place
cutlery, plates, glasses, and napkins ensures that you’re giving your guests a pleasing and welcoming
table. While there are many variations when setting the table, traditionally, napkins are placed on the
left side of the plate under the fork or on top of the plate.

When setting the table for an everyday dinner or casual meal, you can fold the napkin to the left of
the plate under the fork. The napkin should be about 1 inch away from the plate, and the folded side of
the napkin should be on the right, facing the plate. You can also roll up the napkin and place it in the
napkin ring to the left of the plate and fork on the table. While for formal dinners, you will usually place
a folded napkin on top of the plate. For more casual venue settings, this location is also acceptable.

1. Give the importance of knowing the different napkin folding.

Napkin folding is one of the most important part of table setting because it does not only serve as
practical purposes, but also decorative that brings creativity, as well as add elegance to your tabletops.

Knowing the different napkin folding in any style means your knowledgeable, skillful, and aware on
its purpose and proper process as it will bring neatness to the table. Not only that because it shows that
you know what you’re doing, it shows how delightful you are in preparing table presentation, and thus
how you behave at the table.
