1. answer verbally three questions on the passage about “Ways to Take Care of
Yourself”.
2. explain a question verbally about prediction on the effects of not taking care
of yourself.

1. answer verbally at least three out of five questions on the passage about
“Ways to Take Care of Yourself”.
2. explain at least a question verbally out of two questions on the effects of not
taking care of yourself.

TEACHING & LEARNING ACTIVITIES

PRE-LESSON: (10 minutes)


1. Teacher asks a few questions regarding the related topic to stimulate curiosity.
a. What do you think of when you hear the word ‘healthy’?
b. What do you think of when you hear the word ‘diet’?
2. Students answer the question in the Mentimeter.

LESSON DEVELOPMENT: (40 minutes)


1. Teacher introduces ways to care of yourself.

(e.g. take regular exercise, eat a healthy diet, and look after your mental health)

2. Teacher explains each way to take care of yourself using the slides.

3. Teacher gives instructions on the activity that will be conducted.


a. Listen to the audio on the passage about “Ways to Take Care of Yourself” attentively.
b. The audio will be played twice.
c. Answer the questions asked by the teacher after the audio recording is played verbally.
4. Teacher randomly calls a few of students to answer the questions about the passage.
a. How can you take care of yourself by doing regular exercise?
b. How can you practice eating a healthy diet?
c. What should you do if you have problems at school or at home?
d. What thing you should not be worried about?
e. Why should you not worry about it?
5. Students get into breakout rooms in pairs.
6. Students are asked to share their opinions on the given questions about the effects of not taking care of
yourself with their partners.
a. In 20 years from now on, what would happen to yourself if you did not take care of yourself from
now?
b. Can you predict the illnesses you might get if you do not practice a healthy diet?
7. After 10 minutes, the teacher randomly chooses a few pairs to share their answers in the main room.

POST-LESSON: (10 minutes)

1. Teacher randomly chooses a few of students to summarize the lesson using Wheels of Name.
2. Teacher asks the students to rate their understanding of the lesson on a scale of 1-5 in the chat box.
3. Students state the moral value learned in the lesson.
4. Teacher explains further the moral values.
