202 – Sir Just

1. Students studying in the graduate school had established already their own career. And as

much as I know, any career requires you to examine information, solve problems

methodically, come up with novel solutions, and communicate those solutions to others

in an understandable manner benefits and all of these need a higher order critical thinking

skills. Like lawyers, analysts, accountants, doctors, engineers, journalists, and scientists

regularly make use of this skill. However, this is turning into an important ability in the

majority of occupations as a result of the rising use of information technology. Part of the

professional development is to solve some issues along the way, on this matter

exploratory discovery research design can be applied thought his we can able to find

answers to some issues and lead us to a new direction of success, new outcomes or

outputs of our hardship. All of these will be enhanced in the graduate school.

2. The biggest barrier that formed during the pandemic in the educational system in the

Philippines was on the delivery of learning. All schools were shutdown and all the

students were not allowed to attend school. Despite of this pandemic, as part of the

institution who initiates learnings, blended learnings were introduced and in our school

we reached the learners through modular distance learning, modules were made and

given to the students through their parents. The parents took the modules following the

safety protocols set by the inter – Agency Task Force. With this strategy, the students

were able to learn even they were at home.

3. Blended learning appears to be the only option available to ensure that the students

continue their education in a time when millions of students have been persuaded to stay

at home with their family and when educational establishments have stayed closed. But
the question still stands as to whether we were prepared to use these other methods of

educating our citizens without lowering the quality of education they would receive.

Despite of the pandemic, learnings were received by the students. After 2 years of

struggling the pandemic, the students are now preparing for the incoming face to face

classes and the department of education ensures their safety in school. In face to face

learning, the students can collaborate on issues, and network with other students from all

backgrounds in school.

4. In my own understanding, the best foundational philosophy that I can describe for the

Filipinos who stand strong during the pandemic especially on continuing education is the

progressivism. Progress in education must continue, whatever barrier will come.

Progressivism being the philosophy that says ideas should be tested to find their truths.

According to this philosophy, student inquiries are valuable since they promote learning.

In its teaching, progressivism incorporates both problem-solving and cross-disciplinary

learning and learning happens best when pupils are engaged and actively experiencing

concepts.

5. I will rate myself 95%, because no one is perfect in this world. That 5% left will be

worked out through actions in my own field. I want to gain this by applying all the

foundational philosophies I learned from this subject in my field of work, in educating

the students.
