Health Status : Critical
Introduction:
1. As per ISO 10816 standards, the health status of the machine is in Critical condition.
2. The maximum vibration velocity (Vrms) value is 11.3 mm/sec at Fan NDE bearing in vertical direction.

Analyzer used : CSI 2140

Data Interpretation:
1. Velocity signatures representing dominant peak at 1x , which indicates the symptoms of Unbalance.
2. On further performing Phase Analysis, phase difference between FDE horizontal & FDE vertical was
found 87 indicating Unbalance .

• Amplitude & Phase angle at 1x was found 11.2 mm/sec @44.2


• Phase difference between FDE horizontal & FDE vertical was found 87 indicating Unbalance .

On the basis of this diagnosis we performed Balancing taking FAN NDE Vertical direction
as a reference point.

By the phase angle at FAN NDE vertical direction we find the heavy spot (@44.2) . So
we put 20 gms trail weight at this location to enhance the impact by 30% to see the
effect of Original and Trail (O+T) weight in next run.

Velocity Spectrum Fan NDE : Vertical (Original Run + Trial Run)

After Trail run, Vibration level was increased from 11.2 mm/sec to 16.2 mm/sec at 1x.

Now we added Correction Mass of 35 gms at an angle of 177 against the rotation of fan
from the trail weight location.

After adding Correction mass of 35 gms, Vibration level was reduced from 16.2 mm/sec to
2.8 mm/sec at 1x .

Conclusion :
