Introduction:
It is the first Indian English-language daily newspaper. Owned and
managed by the The Times Group. It is the third largest selling
newspaper in India. The publisher of this is Bennett Coleman & co.Ltd
and editor-in-chief is Jaideep Bose. It is founded in 3 November
1838;183 years ago. It makes the public book their required newspaper
slot through the website- timesofindia.com. By this the people book
their requirements. Its turnoverRs.6,986 cr (US$920million)(FY2019).

Network:
 Speaking tree: A spiritual network intended to allow spiritual
seekers to link spiritual seekers with established
practitioners.
 Healthmeup: A health, diet and fitness website.
 Cricbuzz: It is a website focused on circket news.
 With this 3 network groups it collects information.
 It advertises public ads which are posted in classifieds
website.

Challenges:
 High competitors in the market.
 Long time consuming for references.
 Reducing the no.of consumers.
 New emerging tech in the market.
Vaartha
Introduction:
Vaartha is a Telugu newspaper headquarters in Hyderabad, India.
Vaartha means news in telugu. It is a media industry founded on 1st
March 1996 by GIREESH KUMAR SANGHI. It has a website-
www.vaartha.com It is the first Telugu daily newspaper in Telangana
and AP.
Vaartha is produced by A.G.A publications owned by Gireesh kumar
sanghi and MD Mr. Gourav sanghi. Now it has smaller circulation then
other papers. Vaartha newspaper in Hyderabad is one of the leading
businesses in the newspaper advertising agencies. It imports raw
materials from Russia. It has alternative manufacturing equipment.

Network:
 In Hyderabad this establishment occupies a prominant location in
lower tank-band.
 It is easy to communicate to this establishment as there are
various modes of transport readily available.
 The reports of it collects information from different places and
submit it as manually to the company.
 It circulates the newspapers to the corners of the Telugu states.

Challenges:
 Booking process to the public by using tech.
 Inflation in raw materials due to Russia war.
 Transporting to publishers.
 Competitors in the market.

I’m taking the problem statement-2


How might we redesign the display ads booking process using
tech for the customers of Vaartha so it’s value for money and
has high visibility?

Current Booking Process:


The other newspapers as mentioned above The Times of India
provides website to their users for booking process , charging them &
this is paid through e-pays.
Whereas Vaartha newspaper collects information by the people
manually for the booking process.

Challenges faced by customers:


 Time consuming.
 Lot of paper work.
 Long process.
 Travelling.
 Submitting proofs of the customers.
 Language barriers.

Solutions:
 As my point of view it’s better to create a code for the required
location based on column (we should provide column n row
numbers in the newspaper)& paper number and that code
displays only for that required section where it is provided bottom
of that particular location.
 Or else a small QR scanner in the required booking section. By
that the user can scan and give the details of that particular
booking section.
 By this they can pay the required amount to the company.
 Like DTH bills, recharge etc in the e -pays they should also provide
booking slot for newspapers.

Benefits:
By the given solutions the Vaartha can earn profits –
 Increase in no.of customers.
 Less time taking.
 Payment process makes easier.
 No paper work.
 Stress free.
