The micro-teaching consist the activity of teaching speaking skill of the students, before the

strategy is applied, the teacher must know the level of the students that suit in the teaching
technique, also the teacher composed the material based on the student’s need in class.
The students level in the micro teaching is second grade elementary school and their range age
are 6-7 years old.
In the opening section, I persuade my students to do Ice Breaking before the class begin to
trigger the students motivations. Based on Pranata et al. (2021) "Motivation and ice breaking had
relation because ice breaking assists the teacher to show enthusiasm about the content area and
learning, and about the students themselves." The Ice Breaking will center the students focus, in
this section I will give instruction to the students, when I said "pinkie" the students must show
their pinkie finger whereas when I said "thumb" the students must show their thumb finger and
as it goes the movement will fast so the students must catch my intruction until The Ice
Breaking session is end.
In order to teach the students vocabulary and pronunciation in my micro-teaching, I used pictures
of daily activity as the media to assist the drilling technique in the class, because I want the
students learn the basic vocabulary through daily activity to be intended for them to familiar with
the new word. Also I introduce to the students about expressing like and not in english with the
same drilling technique and pictures too. In learning activity, the intonation will be the part of the
drilling technique, in this section I made my voice up and down based on my movement hand,
such as when I lift up the pictures, it means my voice will higher and if I lowly my hand it means
my voice will down and the students must follow my intonation to get rid of the bored
atmosphere in the class and lift up the students motivation to follow up my voice.
For the material I adapt it from the ALM technique and focus on simple repetition drill. One of
the key feature of ALM is drilling, drilling technique has been applied in foreign language class
to introducing new words to the students, in drilling using repetition technique on sentences or
words through oral activity (Juhemah, 2013). In summarise, drilling technique is suit in assisting
student's learning of vocabulary and pronunciation through repetition.
After the learning activity, the students will be given the handouts that contains the test based on
the learning activity. The test using Fill in The Blank. There will be some of word that the rest is
blank which is the students must fill in, beside that word have a pictures based on the word. That
word is from the vocabulary that have been taught in the class, so this assessment object is to
make the students remember it after the class. The reason I give this assessment because its
include in 3 assessment criteria: Validity and Practicality. Validity because the word in the test is
from the vocabulary that have been taught in the class, so this assessment object is to make the
students remember it after the class and it relate to the learning object. Practicality because is
effective and efficient in design the test also easy to score.
