 Died October 18,
1931 (aged 84);
 Created inscadescent lamp,
phonograph, carbon
microphone, electricity meter,
vacum packaging and dictafone;

Thomas Alva Edison was an inventor and


business man from Milan, Ohio. His
numerous inventions and the insane
amount of 1,093 patents in his name, gave
him the title of America’s greatest inventor.
He was one of the first people to apply the
principles of mass production and
teamwork to the process of invention,
working with many researchers and
employees. His last breath is contained in a
tube at “The Henry Ford” museum.
