Task: Assignment - Frequency


INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1: Get into groups and record a short dialogue about daily activities.

Step 2: With your group choose the place, the time and the day to doHi,

• Use the adverbs of frequency and time expressions.

Diana (B): My friends I have an excellent idea. Why don’t we go to the cinema on weekend?
Maria (A): I’m really sorry, but I have something else to do on weekend. I get up at quarter to ten, I eat breakfast
and at half past eleven I sometimes go to the gym. Then I always eat lunch at home and I have Music class. In the
afternoon, I always do my homework Then, at quarter to seven, I watch ‘Queen Street’ on TV, I always go to bed at
half past nine!
Diana (B): Woo! You have a lot of activities. And you, Juan?
Juan (C): Well, I have to work on weekend. I´m sorry. I get up early. At 7.20 I have a quick shower. Then I go to
the dining room where I have an enormous breakfast. I go to work by car. At noon, I have lunch with my coworkers
and I finish work at 5 pm. Then I do my homework and I usually play video games. I always have dinner at 7.30
p.m. Then I go to bed at 10 o’clock.
Diana (B): It’s a real shame we can’t go. Maybe another time, bye.
Juan (C): Goodbye.
Maria (A): See you.
At the end of the recording, each student should say the daily
activities of their classmates.

Maria (A): I will talk about Diana’s daily routine: She always gets up at seven o’clock. She has breakfast at
eight and then she makes her bed. She has class in the morning. At one o’clock she has lunch. Then she has
