LIMITED FACE TO FACE CLASSES IN TPC

Shane T. Dabasol

In reference to the guidelines from the IATF-EID(Inter-Agency Task Force for the
Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases) of the province and with the brief discussion
from the Board of Trustees along with the Chairwoman, Hon. Janette A. Garcia; they have come
up with a resolution to conduct the limited face to face classes in Talibon Polytechnic
College(TPC) for the second semester of A.Y. 2021-2022.
Prior to the start of F2F classes last February 7, all the faculty and staff made intensive
preparations in order to comply with the minimum health protocols of IATF and the
Department of Health. The school vicinity was thoroughly inspected and sanitized. Classrooms
were modified according to the prerequisite of social distancing. There is also a cyclical
schedule of classes in order to accommodate the maximum number of students allowed to
enter the campus. All students are advised to wear a mask at all times while inside the school
premises and present their vaccination card upon entering.
Only the fully vaccinated students are allowed of the said limited face to face classes. In
contrast, modular and online mode of learning(MOL) will be implemented. Everyone is
prohibited to wander inside and outside the campus and should observe their individual
schedules and rooms.
As of now only the Department of Education announces any updates to have the normal
class this year yet there are still no word from them or from the TPC Supreme student council
about the continuation of limited face to face classes for the A.Y. 2022-2023.
